- 01.09.2007 - The song "Why" got the Award for Best Music on the International Euro Pop Song Contest 2007. The song was chosen among 22 other songs by a jury of 25 people.
*Lazar Kissiov is a new name in the Bulgarian contemporary music scene. Born in a family of musicians (Mom - an opera singer & vocal teacher; Dad - a folklore performer & lyricist) his interest in music started in very early age. His performance charisma, natural personality & magnificent voice allows him to conquer easily the attention of both audiences & medias.
*During his teenhood he studies in the English Language High School "William Shakespeare" in Sofia. After he graduates with excellent results he faces the dilemma, whether to study English Philology or to persue his childhood dream - to be a singer. Music prevails. He succesfully passes the exams in the National Music Academy and now he is studying "Pop & Jazz Singing", where he is taught by the TOP music teachers in Bulgaria, which gives him a chance to develop his unique talent.
*Lazar participates in many concerts, TV shows & festivals. His biggest achievement so far is the festival "Soiree De La Chanson Francaise" (Croatia, Split), where he wins the ultimate prize - Audience Choice Award. Later on he is invited to participate in concerts with "The Big Band" of the Bulgarian National Radio and in many other festivals.
*Besides his singing desire Lazar appears to be a talanted composer & lyrics writer as well. His 1st single "For You" (2005) is unusual ethno-balad. His 2nd song "Why" is very well accepted by the media and is well rotated in the Radio Stations. He gets the chance to participate in many TV Shows where he represents the song and the reaction for the time being - positive.
