About Me

I like junk, museums, libraries, Iberian ham, French monastic architecture and anything made of alpaca or custard. I hate flying, and read dictionaries to pass the time. I love to live in hotels, but for no more than a week. I have a Danish name that's completely out of style. I speak strange languages. I make things and hoard books, a combination which tends to frustrate my living space. People think I have an answer for everything, a power which I take very seriously. I spend abhorently on shoes. I am nostalgic for Berlin in the 80s and Prague in the 90s. I can not understand why asphalt is in all ways superior to cobble. All things considered, I should have been an Egyptologist.

My Interests

Anything bespoke, humbled elitism, waxworks, historical revisionism, the media paradox, the Ptolemies, celebrity tantrums in contract negotiations, the "Enlargement", a foreign language with a foreign accent, sculpture with a capital S, unsung Central European capitals, daguerreotypes, architecture and film everywhere

I'd like to meet:

The pedestrian genius. Stunning multiglots. The strangely intelligent, well-edited and at times ill-adapted. Whosoever is missing. Profoundly good humored thinkers and strategists who do not grossly misbehave in public, often. Posh young investment bankers, entertainment lawyers and industry analysts who make pastry and jump off cliffs. Meet me in Jinbocho, Ljubljana, Cesky Krumlov, North Jutland, or the Dordogne and we will have plenty to keep busy. Elsewise, hardcore academics, artists & stylemongers extraordinaire, arctic travellers, ex ex pats, Poles, Magyars, Slavs & Balts, philologists, auction house whores, grammarians, and anyone laboring under the yoke of a major Hollywood studio.
