Lady D. or the D. Factor…this name stands for: Hip Hop, R&B, Crunk/Dirty South, Reggae, Latino & Reggaeton Style, Old School Flavour/ Classics, Funk & Soul, Bass & Booty**Slow JamZ. She used to work behind the bar mixing drinks at the “Funkadelic” Downtown Frankfurt/Germany, the only club at this time playing “Best funk In Town”- ”I..ve got Ants in my Pants and I need to dance!”.. Also the only Club that welcomed people of all nationalities and complexion. Every night the place was packed…the passion for the Music was one reason why she could not stay away from getting involved. Regular she went with the owner to the Record Shops to select and buy fresh Music for the Club Funkadelic. Soon she knew more about the Music Selection then the resident DJ..s. 1984 One night the DJ in charge did not show up & she was asked to fill in. She took the chance – the people loved her choice of Music and the DJ passion began- Lady D. the first female DJ for the Funkadelic - a big success, 14 years “Thursdays Night*Ladies Night” and everybody was grooving... 1990 The major Radio Station HR3 called Lady D. and she started to join the new Dj Mix Radio Show “Clubnight” ( 3-hour-mix-show ). Again she succeeded for 12 years as the only female DJ in this male domain with her unique Style “ nothing but the best staying ahead & selecting & mixing fine, cool, hot Beatz & new Styles of R&B,Hip Hop….keeping ..it fresh. All this time clubs in her area Rhein/Main- north/south/east /west enjoyed her guest DJ appearances over the years. 1999 The matter of the Anniversary “ 75 Years Radio in Germany” DJ..s from different Stations where asked to contribute a musical production. Her tribute was the work with Vision Music: Mr. C.W. feat.C. Hemmingway (Vocals)&Harvey Dent(Rap)”THE MOON” containing the O-Ton - the Original Communication of the “first Man landing on the Moon-20 July-1969-Apollo 11. The 15 years DJ Anniversary of Lady D. on the 25th September 1999, at the Capitol was a big success. HR3/XXL broadcasted the Party from 21.00-02.00 am, besides the DJ guest appearances,” THE MOON” where preformed live on Stage. 2001 There is a change over within the Station HR. the ”Clubnight” moves to the youth Station XXL( now YOUFM). The new spot on HR3 on Sat. from 21.00-24:00, brings now the new Show , the “ PartyGrooves” Lady D. leaves the” Clubnight” after almost 12 Years in December 2001 and says goodbye to XXL/YOUFM From may 2001 till oct. 2007 Lady D. was on Air once a month on HR3, 89.3.fm, the” Partygrooves”, 3 hours in the mix with her choice and selection.” from old to the new, that..s what I do”. Music scout for hot new Vibes but also picking the hits and than bringing the old school back, that made her Shows so special. For many years now she has been a member of an DJ Pool from NYC/USA. First the BigDawg/ Funkflex & now the Franchise Record Pool- Mp3( Mr. Excitement) and so she was and still is provided with all the hot new Music all the time. Also with her Trips to the USA each month make it possible to check out new Trends, still looking for Vinyl & only slowly adjusting to the Cd & digital Systems. “Old school I know, but I like to see Covers and feel the Vinyl”! All of that is part of the art and the passion of being a DJ.
