We are Agi Agi, the premiere graphic design studio in Florida for Urban Vinyl Toys and plush. Formerly known as Me Llamo Jellyfish, the team is currently working on a wide range of projects, including not just toys, but also traditional art and animation too.
The Team: Nakanari, who’s already gotten pretty famous in the Urban Design scene. He’s best known for his work on the Funny Club with BB Birdy. He’s currently working on several new lines, focusing on his Misfits characters and a new mascot, named Spiki. He’s also really gotten into stencil-work, and you can check out a lot of it online right now over on his blog.
Oni, a computer animator and 3-D modeler. Oni has created an original character based on her own likeness, which will be appearing online soon in CG-animated shorts. She produces toys using the rapid prototyping technique, and has been working on various oriental pin-up prints. Right now, Oni is heading up an animation team creating an animated short based on Nakanari’s Spiki.
Dave “Outta My Mind†Quiles has produced some pretty famous one-off designer toys. His Mirus toy appeared in the Dot-Dot-Dash collection, along with a few of his high-grade BUD customs. Dave does most of the sculpting for the group, and is big into digital prints. Right now, Dave is working on several new prototype toys at once.
Spider runs art and music shows out of Miami. He’s the main designer and builder of plush for the group, and creates many of the mechanisms that go into the group’s toys. He’s known for creating the oversized plant-plush, Seymour, which debuted at the 2007 FX Show. At the moment, he’s busy creating a ton of high-end plush for himself and the rest of the group.
