Mississauga has long been searching for its first major hip hop star. Some have flirted with success, while others have floundered in the masses. At the age of 26, JAE SPILLZ has developed into the prodigy that Mississauga has been looking for, and he plans to represent his city to the fullest. Born Jonathan Alvarado in north Toronto in 1981 to hard working middle-class parents, Spillz moved to Clarkson at the age of 6. Over the next nine years, he would develop a love for music. When Spillz hit the age of 15, his love for music turned into a passion for hip hop.
Growing up in a traditional filipino household, Spillz was raised with strong catholic beliefs and a sense of pride for his heritage. In 2004, Jae Spillz decided to set out to his homeland. With hopes of furthering his music career, he settled in Makati City while bunking in the studio with Kenjhons & Laurence from the Phillipine All-Stars hip hop dance group. Being there helped Spillz realize how much of a struggle it was for his people back home & this made him even more proud of where his family comes from. Spillz struggled himself & that kind of life gave Spillz an opportunity to broaden his mind and offered him many experiences from which to draw inspiration. He began to perceive the world differently than most people, and these thoughts would become the foundation for his future recordings.
Ready to take the next step, he formed DEF CONCEPT with his roomate Kenjhons. They put out an independent self-titled LP, while working with many artists such as Krook and Jolo, Mike Swift, Rico Robles. Universal Records scouts realized the raw talent that they possessed, and immediately begans talks of signing them. After 5 months in Makati City, Spillz moved to Quezon City while performing at different shows and touring around the country. He's performed @ MTV's WORLD AID's DAY summit to a crowd of 75,000+ and goes down in phillipines history, for being the first ever rapper to perform live @ the first annual Philippine Hip Hop Awards which took place in February 2005.

Soon after, Jae Spillz began his ascent into the local music scene. Back in Toronto, he's told us " I'm ready to take Canada to new levels never seen before. I know the game, I know the industry. I'm a business man - not a rapper. I know what this country needs & I believe I can be the one to bring it to international levels. No one in the city has accomplished what I have oversears and right now I'm just ready to put Canada and Filipino's on my back & let them know how I do! " Spillz has already drawed comparisons with his commanding voice and witty wordplay. While he has been influenced by artists such as Hustlemann, Point Blank, and the GCP, Jae Spillz was determined to create his own identity that would, one day, be loved and revered by fans.
Now with his 2nd mix tape, "M.O.B V2 'CRUNCHTIME'" that as sold thousands independently nationwide, Jae Spillz is ready to take over the rap game as Canada's new superstar.
