I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I really enjoy travel, writing, and all things related to the mod and soul scene. Latest update from my year out (Feb 24th 2008) - Well I am still in Rome, having moved into an apartment with my friend Christine who I met on my course, and I am also now working for a business school. This involves teaching English and also business skills. The exciting news is that my freelance writing career has been given its first chance as I have just spent the weekend on an all expenses paid trip to Sorrento to cover the chocolate festival for a media agency in London. If they like my piece, there will be more work. So fingers crossed! For photos of a life size F1 car made from chocolate, then see the photos page. Life is good, the sun is shining and I am making friends. I will see many of you at Easter at the annual Rimini festival - a presto xxxxxxx

My Interests

Apart from attending R&B nights mainly in the north of England but also increasingly across Europe, I am learning Italian and love writing and travel.

I'd like to meet:

Paul weller! Oops looks like I already did :-))))

Music:

I was lucky enough to rediscover the mod scene a few years ago now. Like many others, I had disappeared from the scene many moons ago to go away and do family stuff, and now am back - amazed at how vibrant, friendly and welcoming the modern day scene has been to me. From the first night of being dragged along to the fantastic Hideaway Club in Manchester, I have not looked back, and am now really excited to be part of a new club night in Manchester. No Way Out opened on the May 5th 2007, run by Steve Plant and Phil Saxe - you can see pictures from the opening night in 'My Pictures'. As a result of the great feedback from this night, we have decided to hold the event regularly during 2007/8Next night - November 3rd!
