About Me

DISCLAIMER!!!!!!!! THIS PAGE IS NOT A DIRECT LINK TO THE BAND. THE BEST PLACE FOR THAT IS http://www.myspace.com/artofchaos WHICH IS THE BAND PAGE.
Aside from that, this page is for people in the WAY SOUTH of so cal; like San Diego, El Cajon, La Mesa, and so on and so forth...so if you are in that general locality (area codes of like, 619, 858, 760...good way to depict that aside from city) then please PLEASE join up here. Note that this is not an official page so dont expect special hook ups, but I will post bulletins, blogs, and other things for us to help the band out. Art of Chaos has got to be one of the best unsigned bands here in Cali, so lets be there for them, and provide a united front.
WHAT TO EXPECT HERE:
The best thing I can tell you about that is to expect information about shows and Art of Chaos music. There is a little "Demand It" box here on the page so when you join, please demand AOC here in San Diego. The more requests the band gets, the more likely it is that they will come down here and do a show for us! How awesome is that?! Just remember that most of the shows and things related to the band are usually up in the LA area, not too local for us down here, but still just a bit of a drive away. I want us to also make some banners for the band, but please be careful about copyrights. If you havent taken the pic yourself, or you have not asked the band or the owner of the pic if you may use it, you probably shouldn't use it. I just dont want anyone to be reprimanded because of copyrights. So just be careful on that. Other than that, i think the page pretty much explains itself. I must make one thing clear (I know, but just one more thing...), please be respectful here. This page is a reflection of the band and if someone happens to stumble across it and there is someone being rude or making a fuss about something unrelated to the band, then the person might not take us seriously, and then they might not take an interest in the band. This is all about Art of Chaos, I know we are all mature and have a common goal, but you know how it is when one rotten seed comes around and just tries to start things (haha, esp if ur in el cajon--ok thats all my humor). So if you see something that is kinda like a spoil sport just let me know via a message or a comment. I will be online every night so you can rest assured that all of the info is current and up to date. Okay...I think thats the end of my little narrative...now on to business!
ENJOY!
Brief Description:
"Listen to the sound of the future, a Los Angeles / Orange County band on the up and coming, Art of Chaos. Formed in 2004, the band has shot-gunned their way into the Southern California music scene, winning the ears and souls of many with their original, yet very accessible sound. Using the soul as the compass, this young, yet ever-fierce group of gentlemen has managed to set themselves apart in an industry that seems to be repeating itself over and over again. With furious live shows and rapidly growing fan base, Art of Chaos can go nowhere but up." -earbuzz
I think that sums them up...but why not get some more info!!!
CD REVIEW FROM EARBUZZ
"Art of Chaos 7-track, "Lucid" CD, is heavy metal/rock/thrash with upper atmosphere vocals and live well produced energetic instrumentation. The opening track, "Chaos Factor", has a Mettallica meets Rush musical feeling along with the hard tenor of vocalist, Brian Torres. Torres' voice is completely original - his approach is passionate and angry - and timbre is a young higher register than normally associated with this genre. We've got here heavy metal - near thrash - with ball battering rhythms - bass, drums, guitar - and the cherubic voice of a pissed off boy in front. .compelling stuff. Track 3, "Alright", begins with a trembling emotional vocal and moves into thrash - cool. Track 5, "Control the Blue" and track 7, "Second Coming", are our two favorites on the CD. Both tunes explore the musical space aggressively. "Control the Blue" - has a chugging scalar thing going on in the guitars as the vocals whisper and suffer to 'control the blue'. . In "Second Coming" the dynamics and movement of the arrangement enters a world of zealot chanting thrash - but with a melodic anarchist tinge. .cool." -Earbuzz

My Interests

"The thing you notice most at an Art of Chaos show is just how much they love expressing. It is not just about making music for this Los Angeles-based alternative-metal rock quartet: it's more about having a conversation with their audience. Playing live gives these guys energy, and the audience picks up on that. The crowd becomes participants, and it fuels the band to dig in harder, take risks, and explore new ground. It?s no wonder that Art of Chaos is building a strong following throughout southern California, delivering to audiences who are looking for something more in their hard rock." -Earbuzz

Music:

"A transformation of the nu-metal design, Art of Chaos has managed to create a sound all their own; one that is untouched by the confines of genre and unrivaled by their peers. A collection of immense energy and musical dynamism, the Lucid EP is just a taste of what the band has to offer. Filled with piercing vocals, wrenching melodies, and hard rock thrust, Lucid is a mastery of modern rock. Each song is empowered with biting energy and courageous harmony, but more importantly a relevant message. With songs delving into the detriment of the modern psyche and the growing expectations of youth, the band proves that their music is not only aurally pleasing but smart as well. Conjuring up a revolution of emotion and liberation, the listener is invited to relate to matters often unspoken yet so universal. In this exchange lies the beauty of their art. You are invited to partake in the journey, a musical exchange that means much more. Come and experience the art of chaos".--Earbuzz
