About Me

I edited my profile with Thomas’ Myspace Editor V3.6 !

yes... that was the only way to get this to look even kinda cool. what can i say... i'm not computery. i am, however, a bit of a drama nerd. and my grand master ten year plan extravaganza is to open my own butcher shop and be your friendly neighbourhood meat cutter. i dream of a small town life located in a big city. having your own neighbourhood store is really the only way to achieve that.

My Interests

LOOOOVE downhill skiing and will finally be able to go this year because i just bought a car. yeah!also love camping, water skiing, cooking (gourmet styles!) and eating (a LOT)

I'd like to meet:

tycho brahe. he had a tin nose and died because his bladder exploded when he was too polite to get up from the table at dinner with the queen of england.since that's not going to happen... my second choice is a tie between jonny from radiohead or jon favreau. not that i don't think ladies are really interesting, but these guys i would really like to chat with. if it had to be a woman (which would be fine) i would choose barbara kingsolver. that woman can *write*.

Music:

omg... where to start....?dar williams, billy bragg, radiohead, MANY musicals (chess, les mis, etc), the connells, the ataris, collin raye, badly drawn boy, johnny cash, bruce springsteen...i could write in this section FOREVER. music is my oxygen.

Movies:

GARDEN STATE!!!!! (thank you heather!) this movie, no joke, changed my life. i weep every time i watch it and i LOOOOOOOOVE it. will you marry me zach braff? probably not.my fair lady, strange brew, swingers, pride & prejudice (every version made!),

Television:

the food network. just the channel itself.also i really like grey's anatomy but i'm never home when it is on (either that or i am asleep). medium is cool and also most crime/police shows... but i am a big chicken so i usually cover my eyes for 2/3rds (and try to make my roommate describe what is going on instead. she does not like this.)

Books:

fifth business and everything else robertson davies ever wrote. god i loved him. SOOOOO sad i could never have been in one of his classes. best thing i've read lately? that would have to be "the unthinkable thoughts of jacob green". wow. joshua braff. seriously people. this guy has talent!!

Heroes:

my nana, my auntie peg, my nana whyle (who was supposed to go to the olympics but was not allowed after she and percy williams broke curfew. guess who WAS allowed to go... because he was a guy!!)all of my gorgeous friends - i love these people so much it doesn't make any sense. they know who they are.anyone who has ever dealt with mental illness. theirs, a parent's, a friend's (or, lucky lucky, all three!). these people know how low is low and how beautiful second chances are. i send you all strength

My Blog

"So a blog, eh?" she said to herself

It has been a long time since the thought of posting a "blog" as the kids are calling it has been rumbling around in my brain.  I can't ever keep a journal properly, so maybe this will be a good ...
