I loved Searching for the Sound, On the Road, Fast Food Nation(everyone should read this book) I don't necessary have a favorite author, besides perhaps a few old time favorites like Edward Abbey. (Black Sun is my fav Edward Abbey) I do read a lotCheck out my friend Adam's book. "I've learned that if you can't get it all together to accomplish this thing called peace, you do at least your part in your life, because that's where you can truly make an immediate difference." -- River Phoenix

Heroes:

"Some people write to please, to soothe, to console. Others to provoke, to challenge, to exasperate and infuriate. I've always found the second approach the more pleasing." Edward Abbey

"If we know anything about a path at all, it's only because of the Great ones that have gone before us. Out of their love and kindness, they have left some footprints for us to follow. So, in the same way that they wish for us, we wish that all beings everywhere, including ourselves, be safe, be happy, have good health, and enough to eat. And may we all live at ease of heart with whatever comes to us in life."- Kirtan closing prayer by Krishna Das
