About Me

HERE IS JAIME'S SHORT FILM/CORTOMETRAJE OF THE MONTH! (You can turn off the music by pressing the pause icon on the flash player to the left)It's called "10 Minutes". .. Leave comments guys!I AM NOT A PERSON OF FEW WORDS... Just check out my blogs and you will see.I came into this world through Manila, Philippines. I left there when I was very young to discover a very diverse and generally accepting Southern California until I was stuck in private school where I learned of the harsh reality that is socioeconomic isolation. I consider the years when I "grew up with nothing" as the best years of my life. I was subjected to more Catholic school until my graduation from an all-boys high school. As with most unpleasant experiences in my life, I consider myself better and well-educated for them. The best times of my latter life were when I attended university in Mexico for a semester and when I was in Americorps, travelling around the Southern states "getting things done". That's where I realized through teaching day and night classes that I wanted to teach ESL (English as a Second Language) for the first part of my adult life. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Spanish. My goal in life is not to wait until I am old and retired to travel. I like living, working, and studying in foreign places. I don't want to see the world as a tourist but as an actual resident, wherever I'll end up going. I renounced my Catholic faith that I was born into on a January night in 2003 at a restaurant in Little Italy, San Diego. My views can be categorized as pantheistic and I don't concede to ideas such as original sin. My view of life and death changed one day on the floor of a bank during a robbery. I'm not afraid of death, which is still not to say that I don't believe that some deaths are more preferable than others. I would like to consider myself a humanitarian and it manifests itself in my aspiring leftist views, however I will admit I have significantly spend more time barking that biting. I have a good heart and I see the world in metaphors, an art form revealing itself to me while I am still yet to make my addition to life's own art gallery. I know I should write a book someday. Did you know that National Novel Writing Month is this November?

My Interests

Pocket Billiards, cooking, photography, philosophy, spirituality, the opposite sex (although I'm trying to do my best not to let this last one distract me right now).

I'd like to meet:

If I wanted to hang with someone, this person better not be a FLAKE! If I the person was not well-to do, at least this person would have CLASS. If I was to argue with this person, there would be no name-calling, unjustified shots below the belt, and would side with OBJECTIVITY. I am repelled by people who would automatically refute evolutionary theory and evidence for religious purposes. If they'd want me to sing a song they would give me the words or give me a MELODY that speaks to me. If I'd have made a bad impression it's because I can't help but defend what I believe is TRUTH. If there was a pastime or hobby that I would do with this person it would be shooting pool.If I were looking for "someone" it would be a person that is more open-minded than I believe the average person is. I'd prefer not to be with someone who would let the conservativeness of their upbringing dictate the parameters of the relationship. If she'd love me she would tell me that I shouldn't smoke or drink so much (no matter how little it may actually be). If this person really cared for me then he or she would want me to be my own source of happiness too.
