About Me

I edited my profile at Freeweblayouts.net , check out these Myspace Layouts!
THE VIEWS ON THIS SITE ARE SOLEY THOSE OF DREW SHANNON AND NOT THE VIEWS OF MAGNUM BROADCASTING.
What's up, My Spacers? I'm Drew Shannon. I'm a DJ in the State College area for 105.9 Joe FM, a country station...and before you ask, #1. I do not own a cowboy hat and #2. I do not go "Yee-Haaaaw"! (Well, not unless it's payday, of course!)

I have a beautiful daughter named Angelina, to whom I owe my very life, because if it wasn't for her, God only knows what turn my life would've taken. Angelina has made me a better person and a better parent. She is a gift from God and I love her with all my heart. She currently lives with her mother and her brother Tony in Warren, PA. and I do see her quite regularly, which is something I am truly greatful for. I would sell my soul to the devil himself if need be for her.

I started radio in 1987 for Kinzua Broadcasting Co. in Warren, PA. From there, I moved on to Rock 103 in Russell, who eventually became 103.1 The Fox. I was let go when my on-air name (Drewski) "died" from complications due to ridiculous management. Tragic. For those that need an explanation as to where Drewski came from and why he was laid to rest, one will be forthcoming...that is, when I feel like telling the tale again! From there, I came to State College after a two year absence from radio an started to work for 105.9 THE BUZZ, which eventually became 105.9 Joe FM.

Check out the Blog when you get a chance. I have a tendancy to update it whenever I damn well feel like it. Mostly because I'm either working, spending time with my daughter or just plain too lazy. However, when I've got something to say or stuff to talk about, I'll let you know about it. Trust me!

Rock on and rock hard!

My Interests

I'm really into movies (mostly DVD's because I can't seem to get my lazy arse off the couch to see one first run in the theater). I'm also into music and I love to sing at karaoke nights. I also play video games either on the PS2 or the GameCube when I'm in the mood. I really like the vintage games of the '80s and early 90s. It also may sound odd, seeing that I work on "terrestrial radio", but I also spend time listening to my Sirius Satelite Radio (BIG HOWARD STERN FAN).What I love the most, however, is spending time with my daughter, Angelina. She's the sweetest, funniest, most charming person I know.

I'd like to meet:

Howard Stern, Artie Lange, Triple H from WWE, Jim Carrey, Bruce Campbell (Evil Dead), Mick Foley (Mankind from WWE), Phil Margera, Jack Black and a nice girl I can bring home to Mom.

The one and only Don Rickles dishing out abuse to Artie Lange and Norm MacDonald from the movie "Dirty Work".The "Queen City Roller Girls" on Channel 2 News from Buffalo. One of them is my friend Jessica, "The Metal Mistress"! (She's the one who tells the news guy that he's taking on "Mia Mauler") ..One of my favorite clips from the Ren & Stimpy Show..."Rubber Nipple Salesman".
After watching this video, I don't want ANYONE to criticize me for spending $700.00 for a Darth Vader costume for Halloween! This really needs no explanation. Just enjoy!YOU HAVE TO CHECK THIS OUT! WHOEVER CAME UP WITH "VADER SESSIONS" NEEDS TO BE GIVEN SOME SORT OF AWARD!
Vader SessionsFor fans of Conan O'Brien, here's the one "Walker, Texas Ranger" clip they were afraid to show. WARNING: WHAT HALEY JOEL OSMOND SAYS IN THIS CLIP COMES COMPLETELY OUT OF LEFT FIELD! BE PREPEARED!....This is why Gnarls Barkley should be voted "Coolest Band In The Known Universe"! This is their performance at the 2006 MTV Movie Awards...

Books:

The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy (the movie inspired me to start reading the whole series), Mick Foley's "Have a Nice Day" and "Foley is Good", Howard Stern's "Private Parts" (As you may have guessed, I don't read that often, something that I really have to change about myself)

Heroes:

My Mom and Dad...plain and simple. They have always been there for me, through the good times and when things were less than alright. The only way I could repay them is to be the best person I can be. I hope I can do them proud. I'm blessed to have them in my life.
