Dwayne was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He spends his time writing praise and worship love songs to Christ Jesus. He is musically gifted. Track-by-track he lays down keyboard sounds on his workstation that produces the most anointed music you will ever hear. Dwayne’s towering voice is an instrument in itself with flexibility and power to hit any note on and off the scale. Dwayne’s vocals range from the highs of Minnie Ripleton, to the lows of Barry White, with a twist of Donnie McClurkin, and then add the vocal power of Rance Allen, topped off with a touch of Yolanda Adams you have Minister Dwayne Anderson.
Singing since the tender age of nine, Dwayne is determined to pursue his dreams as a singer for the Lord. He started singing in churches at an early age. During his high school years he moved into secular music. Although he is a self-taught pianist, he loves to play the keyboard. After high school Dwayne begin singing and playing with numerous bands.
The trials and tribulations he experienced in his life have caused him to run back and forth to the Lord. It was not until he hit his lowest of lows and almost lost his life that he vowed to sing, play, and write only for Christ Jesus. In the year 2000, Dwayne was diagnosed with chronic malignant leukemia, a cancer of the blood. He continued to worship and to write and sing praises to Jesus. Even though the doctor told him that he was going to die, he stood firm on the Word of God and claimed his healing. Now 71/2 years later he is still belting out powerful and anointing songs in the Name of Jesus.
Now Dwayne’s music comes straight from the “Throne Room of Heaven†caring a diverse style of music ranging from Traditional Gospel to Contemporary Gospel to Gospel Soul to Christian Rock to Pop to Praise.
Dwayne is taking God’s ministry from church to church, city to city. He has also outreached through local television stations, in gospel supper clubs and in gospel plays. He not only held acting roles, he has produced and directed music for the gospel play, the “Enemy Never Sleeps†and the gospel drama “Lodebarâ€.
He has a tremendous Spirit-filled desire to be signed with a gospel recording company that will take his music to the masses of people; in the United States and around the world.
Dwayne is a “Trend Setter in Gospel Music.†Dwayne’s testimony is that he died of the world and came back to life through Christ Jesus. Now he sings only under the anointing of the Holy Spirit.
