Pink Positive NY is the progressive vision of two young ladies, who deeply desire to make a difference in their community. Together they created the New York City based Pink Positive NY. The organization focuses on promoting and encouraging young women to raise awareness in an effort to make their own positive difference in their respective communities. The organization focuses primarily, but not exclusively on minority issues, women and young adults. It represents unity, femininity, power, success, and hope for the future. The ladies of Pink Positive NY work non-stop to ensure that they keep their focus on the aforementioned issues and withhold their vow to cater to the wants and needs of their community. Each Pink Positive NY benefit event will focus on a specific issue while exhibiting creativity in theme content and execution. This is a unique aspect to the organization because it will effectively raise awareness while adding a creative artistic flare to each event. It is important to note that a percentage of the proceeds from ticket sales and donations from each event will go directly to the organization that Pink Positive NY has chosen to support. The ladies of Pink Positive NY are willing to sacrifice their time and money for each event, but support from the community, neighboring businesses and organizations are crucial to the success of the organization. Through community and sponsor support, Pink Positive NY believes that they will achieve their goal one event at a time.

a unique fusion of Hip Hop and fashion. The event will have a host that will introduce eight talented, up-and-coming fashion designers and music artists. The event will give the opportunity for the designers, artists, and models to get exposure while exploiting the issues of domestic violence against women.

For years, Hip Hop’s innovative nature, has inspired people around the world to create music that both sends a message and showcases their talent. In the fashion world, Couture has prided itself on being unique & exclusive always showcasing tasteful innovative pieces that focuses on the designers talent and presentation. Hip Hop Couture is a fusion of the Hip Hop Music with Couture’s High Fashion. It describes the confidence and creativity of a generation that wants to be both seen and heard. HHC describes how people use the hip hop music in their fashion to create their own understanding of unique style. It explains how a generation wants to not only get the attention of our society through style but also with a strong message. HHC is doing just that on August 4, 2007 by taking a stand against domestic violence against women. It will be a exclusive night of well-developed talent and unique new designers that have worked hard in promoting and showcasing their recognizable talent.
