I am here for Friends

About Me

What I would like to do in this section is tell you all the cool things about me, and try and avoid all of the lame and painfully incriminating stuff. Unfortunately, I only have a first person view of my life, so it is very hard for me to discern between the two. So I will just give you something that happened to me once, and let you decide. I had gone to the bookstore to purchase a book in a series about a boy wizard. I won't mention the title here, because you guys probably haven't heard of it. I will say that it rhymes with "Larry Blotter". It is pretty advanced reading. Anyway, It was really busy at the store, and when I finally got to the front of the line to buy the afore-mentioned book, there were quite a few people in line behind me, a lot of whom were attractive business women. So I put the book on the counter and reach for my wallet. The lady behind the counter, who I'm sure had the nicest of intentions, decided to say the following very loud, and with the most intense sideways lisp I had ever heard; " Aaaah, a Larry Blotter fan, huh? Well, unfortunately for you, there'sh no word yet on when the shixshth book ish coming out, but if you would like to join our mailing lisht, I would be glad to shign you up." I got really nervous and decided to tell her it was for a friend of mine. I know it is the lamest excuse ever, and I also know that I shouldn't be making excuses for what I read, and I also know that I am way past the age to be getting embarassed about such little things. But I guess the combination of the kid's book I was buying for myself, the lisp, the attractive people everywhere, and the mocking attention I felt like I was getting (which I wasn't), caused me to panic and make up an excuse. I left bright red and sweating profusely. Do I sound lame here? I don't think so. Cool? Probably not. But self aware? Painfully.

My Interests

Jimmy is only interested in wizards, elves, dwarves and gnomes. But it isn't that simple. I am interested in all facets of these amazing creature's lives. where does a wizard pull his magic from? the air? the earth? Where does he get his robes? Are they one size fits all? And if so, can you get them tailored? I guess all of these answers will be found once I get through my apprenticeship, because right now all they let me do is wear a sheet I brought from home and cook for them. Come to think of it, I am not really sure these guys are really wizards. Oh sure, they can always tell me which card was mine from the deck, and sometimes they find money behind my ears, but isn't that the same as an Uncle? I'm pretty sure that the only differences between these guys and my uncle is that they have some pretty badass robes, and no friends.

I'd like to meet:

Are you asking for who I would like to meet if I could only meet one more person? Or is it just the kind of people I would like to meet? I guess if I could only meet one more person they would certainly have to be pretty interesting. And funny. Also, it wouldn't hurt if they were attractive as well, not that I'm shallow, I'm just saying that if I only get to meet one more person, I think that it would be a little dissapointing if they weren't fun to look at as well as all of the other stuff. Entertaining to look at, at the very least. So for the "just one more person" category, I guess I'll take the jose canseco. Yeah, I bet he's all of the stuff I mentioned, plus he's funny looking. For the "kind of people" category, that's way easier, unless I only get to meet the kind of person described in this box on my myspace page. What if I tell you and then that is the only kind of person I ever meet again? I would be so bored after about two weeks even if I described the most awesome kind of person ever, because then I would just be hanging out with just that kind of person for the rest of my life! I'm not going to answer, I'm starting to get all shaky and sweaty.

Movies:

I will watch any movie that is put in front of me. I'm not that picky.

Television:

So Breanne and I moved a while back and we realized that in our new place we had free cable. rad! I watched T.V. all day long without a care for anything in the world. Until they cut our free cable off. Now I don't even get the regular channels, so I have to entertain myself by doing stuff like reading and laundry. Lame.

Heroes:

The childish thing to do here would be to make a bad joke by telling you what kind of hero sandwich I like, or writing out the lyrics to the song "heroes" by David Bowie. I don't want to sink to that level. so instead, I will just leave you with a short list of comic book super-heroes. Superman, Spiderman, Charlie & Silver Surfer. The End.
