I am reading & thinking about what Carol writes here, you should too.

In Dec of 2005, I quit smoking after 30 yrs. And put on weight. Have always been very thin all my life, until I quit. Now, I am starting to lose it. I weighed 149 the day I quit smoking. Actually, God delivered me from it. I know this, and He knows I know this.
For 20 yrs, my hair was very long. To my knees. Had it cut a few years ago. When my hair is long it is darker and straight. When short it is blonde and curly. Naturally. Currently it's very long again. To my bum. Many ask about this that is the only reason I put anything about my hair on this wall. lol.

I live in Northern California between San Francisco and San Jose. Was born on 25 July in Minnesota. Grew up in the St.Paul/Minneapolis (twin cities). Graduated from college in 1981. Was into gymnatics but also loved music and to dance.
My love for music goes back to when I was 8 yrs old.

My mama was killed in auto crash when I was just barely 8 yrs old. She was only 32 yrs old. My way of coping with her death was turning to my love for music and dance. The music in 1963 was not doing it for me.

I needed music that was alive and spicy. That had rhythms to make my body move. Music that had soul to make me humble and cry.
When I discovered Latin Music. I discovered the music that talked to my body and soul!
I have listened to latin music ever since that August in 1963. I turned 8 in July 1963. Every spare moment I had was spent dancing-dancing and dancing.

Due to my mama's death, I quit talking for many years. It was the music that kept me alive and filled the void for a little girl who missed her mama.

I dont know the Spanish language very well but love it. Even more so when the language is sung.

I have listened to millions of vocalist over the years, and I must say David Bisbal is the best vocalist I have ever heard in my life.
And that is a big statement coming from me. I have been listening to vocals for over 40 years. Every single day.

There are alot of excellent vocalists both professional and non professional. I always listen to the vocals of a singer.

David has a rare talent. And it's called, of course -"Voice Control"

Cada dias: I ask God to keep David happy, healthy, safe and full of joy.

I am a person who loves life and who is usually very happy!I love to laugh! I love funny people! Ricky Martin is a funny person. I think he should do a movie (comedy).

David has a contagious laugh.
I have seen some of his cameo acting, he is funny also, but has a hard time keeping a straight face...that too is funny. LOL!

David and Ricky have always put a smile on my face and a laugh in my heart.

MUSIC / LIFE = SAME THING

CAROL FERRIS STATEMENT:

I appreciate all music but I do have my favorite styles - which is "I will know it when I hear it" meaning my style depends 1) vocals 2) melody/instruments. I have mentioned when it comes to music, I always listen first to the vocals. If I love a person's voice/vocals - then I will love anything they sing!

And Wah Lah - I become their BIGGEST FAN!

I love all music but only call a few artists "my favorite singers." These are individuals that have gotten into my heart with their voices. Many have touched me with their talent but few have truly blessed me with their talent.

My Favorite Singers Are:

1. David Bisbal
2. Keith Harkin
3. Nick Jonas
4. Prince Nelson

These 4 individuals have beautiful voices.

David - The King of Vocals! He has one powerful voice.

Keith - An awesome vocalist and with his Irish accent man I love it! He can truly take a song and own it. Keith too is still young and his voice is getting better/stronger each day. He is a professional surfer dude too. Awesome! Keith Harkin Rocks! (n-rolls).
My grandson, Marshall, looks so much like Keith. Go look in my photos and see Marshall, you will see the resemblance.

Prince - A musical genius he is! No one does more playing with his voice than Prince. He is a master with it. Falsetto king! It was from Prince's lyrics that God reached me. Guess He knew to reach me it would have to be through music. Because it is my world. Prince's lyric were full of metaphors about the after life, being saved, Jesus our Lord. - - - I began seeking out the truth.

I had been in church all my life but my preacher did not talk about this stuff. - - - God did reach me and I became a Born Again Christian and never looked back on my old life. I call Prince a "Yielded Vessel" that God was able to use and probably still uses. His servant named Prince!

I have listened to Prince since before he was famous. We had mutual friends. One of my friends later became a member of Prince's band. He left before Purple Rain was produced but did have a small cameo on stage in the movie.

He is very good looking too!

I grew up in The Twin Cities - Minnesota!

Nick - Will be 18 yrs old tomorrow. (16 Sept 2010 - Happy Birthday Nick!) Nick has a voice that is truly a gift from God. When I listen to him singing, he gets my full attention. No matter what I am doing or saying etc. I hear him and I stop to listen.

He definitely has a captive audience of one in me.

Ps: I love listening to The Jonas Brothers too. (JB). Joe has a wonderful voice and great stage presence. He is adorable! All are funny esp when they are together. Kevin is good singer too, have only heard him once; the audio on the video was not too great but I did hear Kevin. He is so adorable too. Funny person. I think Joe is the funniest, he has some body language that is hilarious, when he wants to be. No words can explain it - You either get him or you don't. He is one of my favorite people. Joe Jonas is one Cool Dude! (ok Joe Jonas is Beautiful too. Kisses)...

I seen a video called "Nick J Show - Anger", the boys were messin around and filmin this segment. It was the funniest thing I have ever seen. Joe should have gotten an award for that performance. I was laughing so hard I was crying. I still laugh thinkin back on it. Nick was crackin up laughin as Joe was tryin to control his anger while ....well ....Go see ....

The video is on YouTube look for Nick J Show anger. . . . Ok, I will add it at the end of this statement. Go have a watch it is freakin hilarious. This is something Marshall would do. Nick and Joe are both too funny. I assume Kevin is filming because I can hear him laughing too. SCROLL DOWN TO WATCH....

Nick can be funny too but he is more reserved and quiet. He is Bradley Couper - Nick's fans will know what this means. So would Nick.

Nick's voice is only going to get stronger & stronger. It is not done developing yet. When it does, look out world - Nick Jonas is about to change yours.

Nick loves to experiment with his voice and I love that. I call it playing with his voice to discover what it can do. Making his vocals more interesting. Each year, I hear his voice getting stronger and he is developing the voice control. Because his vocals are so good, sometimes I have to remind myself he's just a kid. Then it blows my minds all over again.

He is mastering the falsetto voice. Nick is extremely focused and committed to being "Nick". I find that so refreshing and admire him for it. That should keep him on track and out of the lethal effects that fame can bring on.

Nick is good at "Keepin it Real."

Nicolas "Nick" Jonas is the one I admirer the most. I have so much respect for this young man. For so many reasons in so many areas. His brothers fall into this category too. Nick is special.

God turned Nick's light on in my life for a reason; believing I know the reason I humbly obey Him. There would be only one person I would share the details of this information with and that would be Nick. It's a personal & private thing. It's all Good!

I mentioned it because: Everyone. I tell you all. God is Good - He loves you uncondtionally. He always has and He always will. If you are not a Christian, I would like to invite you (my friends) to accept Jesus as Your Lord. Go talk with one of your friends who is a Christian - they have some Good News for You! My friend if you are wondering why Ricky Martin's name is not on my top favorite list - - I truly adore him and his work. His music is exciting and beautiful. His vocals are very good. But with Ricky, I think I like his music so much because I like him so much. Make sense. I met the boy Ricky in 1982 while visiting Puerto Rico. He is like family! His voice is good but not in my top favorites. These are individuals who really touch my heart with their voices. I mean really emotionally touch my heart. Not in a physical way - emotional all the way. Not in love with any of them. It's not about that with me. lol.

Best album ever: Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band 1980 Against the Wind. I have always been a major fan of his. He has a great voice but it was his music that attracted me to him. A Rock-n-Roll legend now. Against the Wind - the song is still my all time favorite. If you have not heard the music of Bob Seger then you have not heard Rock-n-Roll at its' best.
I still have the original album I bought back in 1980.
At one of the concerts back in the late 70's early 80's, I went to in Minneapolis was the coolest thing I ever witness because the floor section of the arena had no chair and was full of Bikers on the Motorcycles. Awesome sight.
Bob Seger born: 6 May 1945; my grandson John Robert born 6 May 1995. Cool.

Nick - Jesus Loves You and So Do I (it's that kind of love)

Dear God - I pray with thanksgiving in my heart and a song in my soul. I thank You for honoring me with the light, of this boy's, that You have place in my heart. I humbly accept this what You have chosen to give to me. Your initial reasoning is quite clear to me and I rejoice with the knowledge that You, Father, are a good God and a righteous God. Not my will but Yours be done today and always.

Father I pray that You place a hedge of protection around this boy and his salvation, keeping all that is evil at bay. Please keep this boy safe, happy, healthy this day and all the days of the rest of his life. I pray that he keeps his eyes and focus on You, Father. He truly loves You. I can see that in his actions. I can hear that in his words. Protect this boy/young man as he ventures into his new life as a man. Remind him that He who is in him is greater than he who is in the world.

Father, You know I see the child then the fame. You see it all. I am Your Yielding Servant and what You have layed upon my heart for this child is understanding and love. You have taken me into areas that only You could. I dance like David did, I sing like David did, I rejoice like David did, for You, God, are worthy to receive all the praises of this world and the world to come. Thank you for the wisdom and the power and glory forever and ever. I shall not waver with this that You have chosen to give and to God be all the glory, honor and praise.

In my opinion!

Actually, they all have those qualities. But each one stands out in their own ways too. Some times I wonder if Nick is shy. He reminds me of me in that way. It's hard to explain without gettin into a lot of words and this is not the day for that. Nick's personality is very similar to mine. So I can relate to him on that level. When he commits to whatever he gives it his 100%, a perfectionist. I have been labeled as a perfectionist by almost everyone I know.

People in general usually think I am too serious or mad. I get comments often like smile more or talk more or open up more etc. I am not mad, usually I am just thinking or taking in my environment. I am definitely a people watcher. But still I have this shy streak in me and it shows up when it wants to. Other times I can be very outgoing with a hint of reserved. Then there are times I just let go/let loose and have a blast.

The bible calls people like Nick and myself "Cold Christians" that is a Good Thing! One day I may put more about this.

I have a hard time finding people who are like me; my personality is very complexed but I am a positive person. Over the years the most common comments I hear from others is "You are so different than anyone I have every met before." Just heard that couple weeks ago again. He added that I was a rare gem with a personality that is so rare that he was inspired.

One day it would be wonderful to have contact with Nick just to find out how much his personality was like mine. I don't have to "meet" him for this. Just have contact. I not talented as a singer/songwriter/actor like Nick. But, I do have talents in other areas. I love music but have no desire to be a singer. It's not my calling. Nick and his brothers were called for this.

Oh my goodness last night I saw an old episode of Jonas, it was the one where Nick got his heart broke. It made me cry. Even though the hurt expression on his face was acting it still hurt to see it. I hope the day comes when a woman will fall in love with "Nick" and not his image/fame. Because, Nick is a man would will love with all his heart and people who can love this way are unique and deserve the same love back.

I had that kind of love once in my life. He and I felt the same. The saddest day in my life was the day I received a phone call from his sister that he was killed in a traffic accident. My life has never been the same. We did not have enough time to get married. This was in 1988. I still can not return to Salt Lake City and can not bring myself to visit his grave. Too much reality for me. I remember his face and all the fun we had together. Nick deserves that undying love from a woman one day.
I will never forget watching Kevin having a sugar rush from Nick's cookies. Or Joe the uncool, or when all Nick said was "Well" or what they would have had to wear if Stella was not there. - - - These boys are so funny, even Nick. In CR2, Nick is pep talking to Kevin to be the Junior Rocker's counselor. Saying things like "It's a honor, they think your intelligent..." Kevin says "You think I am intelligent" and Nick replies without hesitation "no". It is too funny.

My friends - - The Jonas Brother are not just another boy band. They are rock stars and I say to you, have you listened to The Jonas Brothers (JB). If yes, go listen again. If no, my advice - go have a listen or watch (DVD/TV)



Maybe I can put together their CD and DVD list, like I did for David above. It will take me some time to do this, I have them all but don't know the order.

Nick is a diamond in the rough. But his light is shinning now! I truly enjoy listening to Nick. I think he knows how much his voice has changed over that past couple years. The control is developing more and more. It is a wonderful thing to be part of or witnessing. I just could go on and on and on about this young man. He is remarkable. David Bisbal looks like me but Nick Jonas thinks like me.

But Joe....

When Joe sings he makes it seem so easy, so effortless He has a very beautiful voice. His range is amazing. He is a good actor too. Reminds me a little of John Stamos, Uncle Jessie. They say John Stamos is one of the most beautiful men in the world. Joe comes off as easy going, playful, intelligent, big hearted, to mention a few.

Kevin: Is full of personality. How wonderful it would be to be around him on a regular basis. I love fun people. He has a great positive attitude. He who is in him is Greater and it shows. My fav moment: During cookie rush says to Nick, "I wrote a new slow song, You wanna hear it?" That was too funny. My opinion of Kevin is he is just a really, really nice and decent person. Multi talented and a good big brother!

All 3 are good looking and talented. They are individuals but work Better Together. United they stand - Divided they Fall. Joe is actually a fantastic vocalist, Nick is too. Their vocals are very similar. Joe sings falsetto really nice. When he sings with that soft/gentle voice, I get goosebumps. I love Nick's songs/music/voice but Nick touches my heart in a way that has nothing to do really with his music but more with God put that light in my heart for a reason. That is why, I focus more on Nick. Not in a romantic way, but in a way only God can. He has shown me what I am to do for Him. All is good because He is a Good God. The Great I Am, The Alpha and Omega, The Ancient of Days .....

Ps: I LOVE Nick's voice too!
