I have a lot of interesting, if not odd interests: hanging out with my "SCA" friends is a huge must! We tend to go camping a lot, or just hang around drinking and talking about nerdy things. I enjoy clubbing/dancing, but never in a trendy place like Kat Man Du! Some of my favorite places are in Philly. I like NYC but don't know it as well as Philly. Like I said, clubs or bars are fine, but "trendy" places are lame -I just can't dig on the "meat markety" joints. I enjoy local pubs, especially of the Irish variety.
I like things that are "different" but I'm also kinda old fashioned... RANDOM LIST: knitting, books, sushi, movies, tv, BtVS, beach/water/ocean, silliness, LAUGHING! I love just being social and flirtatious, so where ever the people are, I can have fun. I love art, photography, traveling, road trips, Su Doku puzzles and more!
I'd like to meet a man that can bring some personality to the table, instead of a guy just trying to get by on his looks alone. So yeah, maybe I tend to give the nerdy guys a try, cause deep down I know that they are the guys worth knowing. I'd love to meet a guy that is a sexy and confident; a good looking guy that does not know he is sexy or good looking... the kind of guy that was a big dork in school (like me) and has since grown into a hot, good natured man that knows how to treat a lady. My kind of guy would have to be someone who is comfortable being by himself, but enjoys being with that perfect someone as much as possible.
Some things I look for, but I of course realize is not too important... a non smoker, a tall boy, something over 6 foot, and someone in their 30's who is looking to be serious about his relationship and wants kids.
I enjoy all kinds of music. In high school I was a "metal head", then I found Grunge. I enjoy a lot of Gothic and Industrial stuff but I also can't get enough Punk. I recently discovered Interpol, and the Indie scene. I can't say I fit exactly into any scene, but I float around a lot and I think I can fit in just about anywhere. I also enjoy the real Classics and some good old fashioned geeky stuff too!
Comedies, mostly. Action, if I'm in the mood for it, or on a date. Also I can't help but like "Chick-flicks" and I think I tend to go for the serious type films, the ones that make you feel sad or want to change something about yourself or the world, sounds cheesy I know, but oh well. It was recently pointed out to me that I go for the "Artsy" films, I don't know how that happened, but let's just say I enjoy a good movie, whatever the genre.
Yeah, I tend to waste my life away watching crap on tv. We all do it. I have been watching a lot of Medical and Crime dramas... House, Bones, Criminal Minds, CSI, and CSI New York. Also, Rescue Me, Nip/Tuck, on FX. Was also big into: Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Greg the Bunny, Prison Break, Firefly. Newest additions would include: Heros, Dexter, Grey's Anatomy, and Dirt on FX... pretty much anything in that Tuesday night timeslot on FX haha
I just completed the Harry Potter books. Now I feel sad that I've finished them and I have to wait for the last one to be written. Before I got into the Potter series I read "Wicked: the Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West". I tend to enjoy fantasy-fiction and mysteries. I was a big Stephen King reader back in the day.
This is a corny section... but I guess I'd have to say that my dad is my hero, he's a lot of peoples' hero. He has been running into burning buildings since he was 16, and he still loves it! He also would gladly get out of bed at 4am to go pull your drunk ass out of your wrecked car if you needed it! To me, that is a hero!
