New England Bites was started by mother-daughter team Laura and Diane Monteiro of Fall River, Massachusetts, in May of 2007. After years of dining out together, we decided to start our own restaurant review Web site that features some of the best places to eat in Southern Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and some parts of Connecticut.
ABOUT LAURA - Laura is a graduate of Bristol Community College with an AS in Executive Office Administration. She works for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and hopes to someday see the world. General interests include horror movies, Dexter, classic rock, Seinfeld, Greg Behrendt books, Gilmore Girls, casinos, The Office, road trips, walking, writing, reading, watching TV, old buildings and cars, crime novels, all things 80s, Britcoms, mob movies, Mean Girls, Labyrinth, Heroes, Ripley’s Believe It or Not, animals, plants, The Apprentice, Roseanne, Guinness Book of Records, drama, thrillers, Harry Potter, Superstar, The Amazing Race, Project Runway, going to movies, going to dinner, driving, traveling, the Internet, and The Neverending Story. She is not a fan of eggs, oranges, bugs, pompous jerks, and dusting.
ABOUT DIANE - Diane is a housewife and mother of two gorgeous daughters. She has been married for 33 years and has lived in Fall River, MA, all of her life. She also works part-time for a local newspaper. General interests include going to movies, going out to dinner, The Amazing Race, spaghetti and meatballs, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, biographies, animals, Christmas, Project Runway, Lay’s potato chips, coffee ice cream, cooking and baking, New York City, slot machines, Queen, French films, The Eagles, holiday decorations, cocktails, thrillers, Jane Eyre, Maroon 5, The Apprentice, classic novels, day trips, and mob movies – especially The Godfather, parts 1 and 2. She is not a fan of cleaning, climbing stairs, doing laundry, all bugs, and beer.
