Fasten is a sub-culture of young adults connected to and under the covering of Trinity Church International. Fasten meets weekly in home cells and corporately once a month for a celebration service. Fasten is about creating a new environment that authentically connects young adults to God and the life of the church.
Fasten?
The name Fasten comes from the vision.
Hebrews 12:2 “Let us fix (fasten) our eyes upon Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith…” 2 Corinthians 4:18 “So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”
In those formative years of early adulthood it’s imperative that we fasten our eyes upon those things that bear eternal value. Our desire is to help young adults focus their attention and bring clarity of thought as they grow into the man or woman of God they were destined to become.
We are also passionate about connecting this age demographic to the vision of the local church.
Psalm 92:13 “those who are planted in the house of the LORD, they will flourish in the courts of our God.”
Trinity Church International, under the leadership of Pastor Tom Peters and the Elders has a vision to see young adults become a vibrant part of the local and global church. Fasten is an echo of that voice and vision to bring true connection for those in the 18-30 age group.
