Congress Theater is one of the most intact surviving neighborhoods movie “palaces†that remains in Chicago, dating back to the 1920’s. It has served for decades as a cultural and entertainment center for Chicago’s Near Northwest Side. The theater is Chicago’s only remaining independent venues of its size.
