Techy and Dirty, thats how I like it.....

About Me

Chicago. It has been the home of house music and produced some of the greatest pioneering house DJ’s, such as, Derrick Carter, Mark Farina, and DJ Sneak, just to name a few. However, today we live in a rapidly evolving musical environment and in this time of growth Chicago’s music scene has also grown to produce a new breed of sound and a plethora of new DJs. Agent 47 is part of this evolution. His unique style of progressive music and loyalty to his Chicago house roots separates him as an up-and-coming artist.Growing up in Chicago, Agent 47 was exposed to the diversity of early electronic music- disco, acid jazz, house, and even hip-hop. By listening to the original “Hot Mix 5” in the late eighties and early nineties, Agent 47 gained a new respect and appreciation for electronic music. As his passion gained momentum in the mid-nineties and on the heels of Bad Boy Bill’s rapid success, Agent 47 realized that his place would be in pioneering Chicago’s new music scene, and that’s where it all began…Today, Agent 47 is rocking out parties throughout the Nation with his impeccable mixing skills and unique music selection. In less than a year publicly behind the decks in Chicago, Agent 47 obtained a Saturday residency at the legendary Crobar Nightclub, won the PURE “Battle of the DJs” competition, and was nominated best newcomer DJ by Local Sound. You can now find him spinning weekly throughout the city at places like Crobar, Spybar, Martini Ranch, Krem, and Narcisse. When asked to categorize his music style, Agent 47 replies, “I really don’t like to categorize my style because it’s then that you are limiting yourself. I consider myself an electronic music DJ and I can play anything from breaks to house and even a touch of trance. I guess you could call it ‘funky, dirty’ house.”Sounding like a cross between Sander Kleinenberg and Danny Howells, Agent 47 falls into the sound of progressive house, but putting style behind, Agent 47’s mixing ability and careful track selection has sent crowds into an explosive frenzy on the dance floor. He takes pride in captivating his audiences and taking them on a “musical voyage”.As electronic music keeps on evolving, so does Agent 47, with plans on touring on a national and international level in 2007, and releasing some of his original tracks as early as summer 2007.Join the evolution.....
