Biography: Steele’s introduction to Hip-Hop started in Chicago at a block party. Upon returning to San Jose, California just a year later he began to recording with one of the bay area’s most recognized DJ’s known as DJ Hassan. Steele quickly became on of the south bay’s most recognized MC’s on the underground scene winning street battles on a regular.
His first album “True Soulja†is considered a bay area classic and was soon to be followed by another classic bay area compilation called “Million Dollar Dream†(volumes 1, 2, & 3) which had the company of the bay’s most recognized MCs San Quin, Messy Marv, Mac Mall, Andre Nicketina, B-Legit (from E-40’s “The Click†and a list of others.
With his latest project release “Blow the Doors†(in stores now) he’s bringing a whole new sound to not just the bay, but the rap game period. “Rep Dat Bay†is Steele’s newest summer single off of the 2008 album “Addicted to the Hustleâ€. Steele brings a straight forward style and universal presence to True School Records where he is the Artist and CEO/President.
