P & C Productions made up of producers Chevokas Loring and DJ/Producer Fabian Zazueta have emerged out of a very unlikely hip-hop scene. Visalia, CA, located in the Central Valley, is known for its agricultural grounds, conservative values, and vast churches. Although production teams remain dormant in the Central Valley, P & C Productions continues to deliver trend setting hip-hop and pop industry standard compositions.
Fabian Zazueta began his career in the music industry by rapping and performing original compositions in San Francisco, California under the alias Profound. After joining independent record label Nucuma Records in 1999, his persistence lead to the release of his debut album titled Far and Few Between in 2003. It was during this venture while co-producing his album side by side with producer CI Cuts; Profound realized his passion and respect for the production process. Fabian shared, “From silence to conception, every track reiterates the importance of having sound quality production.” With the completion of Far and Few Between under his belt, Fabian continued to show interest in becoming an elite hip-hop producer. Upon leaving Nucuma in 2005, Fabian relocated to Visalia, California where he enrolled in music production courses at the College of the Sequoias. With a fresh new perspective towards music production, Fabian recognized an uncompromising passion and drive in fellow classmate Chevokas Loring for hip-hop music production.
Coming from a trained musical background, Chevokas Loring A.K.A. Shock never knew he would be creating as a producer. Shock commented, “I always thought even as a child that I would be a musician, you know like a trumpet player or a drummer, but I never imagined being a producer.” Well versed in gospel, jazz, classical, rhythm and blues, and pop genres, Shock has earned the respect of his peers as well as fellow partner Profound. By keeping current with today’s digital hip-hop movement, Chevokas continues to perfect his craft by studying his music mentors. Rodney Jerkins, 9th Wonder, Just Blaze, Dre. Dre, Timberland, The Neptunes, Kanye West are amongst a few. These innovative producers continue to influence Shock’s creative style and approach towards hip-hop and pop production.
Within a short period of time, P & C Productions has emerged into a powerhouse production team that is capable of creating innovative musical compositions. P & C Productions resume consists of producing the Central Valley anthem “Cali Ridaz” featuring Roscoe Umali, Relentless and Johnny Michaels. The Smif-n-Wessun Remix “See the Light”, as well as many national and independent up and coming artists. As the hip-hop movement continues to open its doors to original groundbreaking producers, P & C Productions plans to carry on its mission to provide quality production to the masses
