I am a thinker, so I am interested in many things: the state of the "church system" today, the political scene, and it's climate, the state of African American people in our country, the condition of our youth, and the relationships between Black Men, and Women in this country.I also enjoy keeping my body healthy, [a "lifestyle" of healthy eating, not diets], and fit, [through exercise, not surgery...LOL]. I enjoy writing, [getting a book published shortly-smile], reading, painting, drawing, sketching, board games including chess, going to the movies rather than watching television, swimming, biking-not professionally, getting back into skating, and challenging my mind to grow by learning new skills, and information.
Some of those who have passed on; My Dad, who died when I was very young, Martin Luther, [the father of the reformation], Smith Wigglesworth, Martin Luther King, Jr., Malcolm X, W.E.B. Dubois, Marcus Darby, Frederick Douglas, Ruby Dee, and there are several others, who I will name later...Those who are still here; Barack Obama, Harry Belafonte, Danny Glover, Beatrice King, Will Smith, his wife-Jada Pickett-Smith, Alicia Keyes, Angelina Jolie, Tupac Shakur[I believe he is still alive-smile], and his mom...[I will name more later].....
I enjoy Gospel, Worship Music...my favorites are Israel & New Breed, Fred Hammond, Kirk Franklin, Micah Stampley, Smokey Norvel, Gary Oliver, Shirley Ceasar, Yolanda Adams, and some of the WOW series to name a few...I also enjoy Jazz, Love Songs, and some Classical Music.
I watch all kinds of movies, however I really enjoy "special effects" so my favorites are; The Matrix 1, X-Men 2 and 3, Independence Day, Spiderman, Fanastic Four, Terminator 2, Godzilla, the Original Star Wars, and King Kong...[will add more later].Also, The Passion of Christ, Navitity, Remember the Titans, Men of Honor, The Fighting Temptations, Forest Gump, Green Mile, The Lord of the Rings, [I will list more later]...
I don't watch television that much, the only two shows I watched somewhat regularly was "The Dead Zone",and "Smallville"...at times I would catch some specials, such as "Roots", or some Award Shows depending on who is participating.
I love to read, and I read all kinds of books...I have a library of books in my home. My favorites are...anything by Rick Joyner, anything by Dean Koontz, "Naked and Not Ashamed" by TD Jakes, "Constructing the Contemporary Prophet" by Prophetess Paula Price, and anything by Apostle Louis Greenup, [I will add more later].
My Heroes are: Jesus Christ, My Dad-Willie J. Davis, My Oldest Brother-Edward Carl Hollins Jr, My "Spiritual Dad"-Apostle Johnnie Washington, and My Sons...[who have always been there for me]...Glenn Jr., Antoine, and Terrell Lorde.
My daughter is a "hero" also...Nakia Dawkins aka "BabyGyrl", [and she will always be to me]...smile!
