About Me

Once you get beyond the self-deprecating humour, you will quickly learn that I'm a raging egomaniac.
My dad is a talented musician, and whilst I haven't inherited his talent (at least in that area), music is very important to me.
I've had some incredible experiences in life. I've experienced tragedy and wonder, love and hate, laughter and learning.
I'm 32 but act like a 12 year old more frequently than I should. I cherish my friends and family as much as my own company, except when I get on my nerves.
I recently moved from Ireland to Nottingham to take up a dream job, which I would gladly do for free (just don't tell my boss).
The artwork you see around my profile is my own work, and will give you some clue into my vocation. Don't ask me to paint you because I probably won't.
I enjoy the company of women as much as men, and can be cheeky and charming in equal measure. I delight in scrambling the radars of the fairer sex, but have had my fair share of long term relationships. I think if you got all of my exes in a room (Heaven forbid) most of them would agree that I was a vibrant, genuine, exciting and interesting guy to be with and around.

My Interests

Everything from the Nottingham Panthers to House music, from art galleries to coffee shops, from lie-ins to Flash Mobs. Larks' tongues. Wrens' livers. Chaffinch brains. Jaguars' earlobes. Wolf nipple chips.

I'd like to meet:

An intelligent, sparky and sassy girl in Nottingham. Attractive, slim and with a cute smile. Good dress sense and a sense of individuality. No bimbos please. Someone who doesn't say 'I like going out but also nights in with a DVD. I also like having a laff with my mates'. God, that is so predictable!

Music:

The full gamut. Booka Shade to Brahms, Steely Dan to Spandau, Depeche Mode to David Sylvian. No reggae or heavy metal. Or Happy Hardcore. Christ.

Movies:

Something that makes me think. Or has Jim Carey in. Current favourite films? A Cock and Bull Story, The Life of Brian, Crash, Il Postino, Memento, American Beauty.

Television:

Very little. Extras. The Office. Curb Your Enthusiasm. Pro Evolution Soccer 6 (I know it's not TV, but it's VIA the TV, no?)

Books:

Generally non-fiction. Occasionally a novel by Milan Kundera. My own sketchbooks with little silly doodles that mean nothing to anyone, except me.

Heroes:

My dad. Noam Chomsky. G.I. Gurdjieff. Ricky Gervais. Karl Pilkington.

My Blog

MySpace CAN look presentable

So, I figured after many years working as a web designer, I have no excuse not to have a presentable MySpace. Therefore, following several late nights and much cursing bad CSS design  - here ...
