Remember to keep your thoughts positive, for your thoughts become your words;
Remember to keep your words positive, for your words become your actions;
Remember to keep your actions positive, for your actions become your habits;
...and remember to keep your habits positive,
because your habits become your destiny.
Now, more than ever, I miss getting in the car and running away to here for the weekend:
ordering in from Uncle Lim's;
sitting in the bathtub at midnight with the shutters wide open so I can watch the moon rise over the ocean;
I miss that banana shampoo in those big bottles...
...I actually sorta miss my ongoing battle with the mosquitoes...;
I miss the greetings of "Welcome back, Miss Janna";
I miss the funny guys at the parking garage where I would leave the car before getting on the water taxi...
and so much more...much, much more...
...I miss it more than I know...more than I realized...more than I can understand...
I collect Bonos and Vaders--if you are either, hit me up and we can be pals!
F1 Racing!
The last hour of "Kill Bill 2".
Exploring the world (NOT with a backpack).
Art, music, romance, drinking wine outdoors with good friends--doing what I can to make the world a better place.
(And I just adore those fab beds in Upper Class!)
I love what I do and enjoy working hard. But I also love travel as it invigorates and inspires my soul.
My favorite places are REAL cities!
Any beach in the world,
Pangkor Laut (villa ..814),
Komaneka,
ANY Aman Hotel, and, of course...
Paris (I firmly believe that there is absolutely nothing that a long weekend in Paris cannot fix--and a week in Paris can change your life)
No, I do NOT have 400+ friends. But I am a big music fan so the majority of my "friends" are bands. I get about 10 add requests a day from bands--which is great, but I always listen to the band first before adding. So, if I haven't added you yet, it is most likely because I just haven't had time to go through and listen to my add requests yet. Or it could be that your music is just not my thing--no offense, but I feel my music is a reflection of me and I hope that people look through my "friends" list and check out a few new artists.
I want to meet people who challenge and inspire me in every way; to do more, to be more, to not be afraid of what is unfamiliar and to always, always trust.
People who will be there when I fall down--simply to remind me that all I have to do is just get back up. And people who will be patient with me and stick around while I take a chance.
I would love to meet kindred spirits; people with new and genuine perspectives; people who can bend with the breeze and still bounce back intact, but are grateful for having had the opportunity to see everything from a different angle.
Someone to watch F1 races with me!!
I am inspired by those who have his/her own ideas and are not afraid to share them. The most exciting and erotic people are those who aren't afraid of simply being honest (BEFORE the fact, NOT after). I respect people who find adventure in everything they do (I said adventure, NOT "drama").
I'd love to also meet the person who had the idea to make the Eiffel Tower sparkle at night--that was a really good idea!
Oh, and Darth Vader and Bono--the three of us could play quarters
(I bet I'd win).
Music can heal everything ...........if for no other reason than simply because just when you think that your best years are behind you, that no one will ever again notice, and that nothing will ever feel good or special again...right at that very moment everything will fall perfectly into place and you have the best month (and the most spectacular week) of your entire life!
That is why! ;-)
(oh, and because right then, you know with absolute certainty that it won't be the last great moment in your life!)
Some freaky virus deleted everything that I wrote here and I just haven't been inspired enough yet to try and replicate it again...soon!
.. width=
Frankenstein (might just be my favorite book);
The Hours (this also might be my favorite book--think it's a tie);
The Secret History (amazing...);
anything by Somerset Maugham, Balzac, Henry Miller, Virginia Woolf, Tom Stoppard...
Amnesty International--it changed my life forever. My dad who taught me about politics and the world, my big bro who was just always there to hang with me and my mom who is amazing--I don't ever want to think of a world without her!
