About Me

www.ArtByBrenan.com

Hello! I'm an artist in Nashville who's into chopper bicycles, musclecars, making short films, and just drinkin', hangin' out.. you know, kickin' it. I also like to recover old couches and spray paint metal surfaces so that they look like they came that way from the factory, but really they didn't.

My Interests

You Are a Classic Martini
You area sophisticated drinker, who knows that simple quality is over-rated.
You're a knowledgeable drunk, but sometimes you're a know-it-all when you're blasted.

You should never: Drink and gossip. You tend to forget who's standing right behind you!

Your ideal party: Has a real bartender. But no one mixes a better drink than you.

Your drinking soulmates: those with a Chocolate Martini personality

Your drinking rivals: those with a Margarita Martini personality What Flavor Martini Are You?
Conversation. Caramel-colored liquors. Finding commonalities with strangers and finding strange things in common with friends. I like to wrench on cars, when I get the chance, and lament when I have to pay someone else to do it.

You Are New York
Cosmopolitan and sophisticated, you enjoy the newest in food, art, and culture.
You also appreciate a good amount of grit - and very little shocks you.
You're competitive, driven, and very likely to succeed.

Famous people from New York: Sarah Michelle Gellar, Tupac Shakur, Woody Allen What American City Are You?

Jack Hammer
People Iced: Seven
Car Bombs Planted: Twelve
Favorite Weapon Stilletto
Arms Broken: Thirty Four
Eyes Gouged: Twenty Nine
Tongues Cut Off: Thirteen
Biggest Enemy: Hairy Knuckles Hal
Get Your HITMAN Name

AWSOME-GAME

I'd like to meet:

I'm a Ford Mustang!

You're an American classic -- fast, strong, and bold. You're not snobby or pretentious, but you have what it takes to give anyone a run for their money.
"Take the Which Sports Car Are You? quiz.

You Are Greg Brady
Outta sight! Suave and all American, you tend to be clean cut and upstanding.
You're friendly with most people and a huge flirt. What Brady Are You?

Andy Warhol. We have an awful lot in common, I'm just a little bit less glam and happily hetero, but other than that, the same muse torments us. Elvis Presley. He was just the man. Like his music, like his taste in cars & women. James Dean. Not sure what team he was on and not sure I care. He simply embodied cool and acted from beneath the surface of his looks. Lee Iacocca. I'd like to thank him for spearheading the creation of the Mustang and also for the common sense approach to life and politics relayed in his current book.

Music:

The White Stripes, Kings of Leon, The Strokes, Jet, Killers, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Wolfmother, Nikka Costa, The Donnas, Ladytron, Thievery Corporation, Madonna, Beastie Boys!! and lately I've really gotten back into The Cult. Checked out this new band Vietnam that opened for Evan Dando and really dug their style and sound. I also dig on Rockabilly, Soul, Jazz Electronica, Alternative and Rock & Roll. I rock the i-pod, but have an extensive 8-track collection. 8-tracks got me to liking music I would otherwise never listen to. Something about that music comin' from an 8-track tape in an old car meant more than any crap I've heard off of ClearChannel.

Movies:

Factory Girl, Wedding Crashers, V for Vendetta! More films like this please! The Motorcycle Diaries. Everyone should search their inner teen and channel Che. I like film noir such as Out of the Past and all the Bogie & Bacall films. Then there are the films I can't help but get a kick out of like Joe Dirt, Talladega Nights, Anchorman, Team America.

Television:

I could pretty much watch E! and VH-1 full time, which is why I don't have cable. So, instead I watch: My Name is Earl, NCIS, That 70s Show. I also like the Power Block on Spike Channel: wHorespower TV and Muscle Car!

Books:

50s detective novels. Specifically the Shell Scott series by author Richard Prather and John D. McDonald's chronicles of Travis McGee. Also "Red Harvest" by Daschell Hammett which I think surpasses his more famous work "The Maltese Falcon." Started Summer of '42 and just began the Modesty Blaise spy series as well.

Heroes:

You Belong in Barcelona
When it comes to Europe, you don't want to decide between culture and fun. You want art by day and a big party by night.
Barcelona is ideal for you. You can check out some Picasso, eat some tapas, take a siesta, and then dance all night! What European City Do You Belong In?

My heroes have never been cowboys, and that's still true it seems.

Riveting, the girl. From the heart, the song. For a moment, there was nothing else. For a moment, nothing mattered save her voice. For a moment... chills. Her beauty, her prime, her range, her meaning.....
