Going home to Carolina.

About Me

It's hard to believe, but I have been in Fort Myers for a year now. I can't believe how fast the time has passed or how much better my life looks right now compared to November 2005. It feels like home here. I have been blessed to have made such wonderful friends.

My Interests

Did I mention I like scuba diving? Lately, I have been kayaking some, too, which is a blast. I like rollerblading, but it is just too hot during the summer to do that. And on the nerdier side, I enjoy reading and quilting. Foreign languages, wines and travel all appeal to me, as well.
Your Rising Sign is Libra
A total charmer, it's hard for people to say no to you.
Irresistable and attractive, you have no shortage of love interests.

Totally competitive, you tend to thrive in stressful enviroments.
A peaceful soul, you avoid conflict at almost all costs.

Sometimes you try too hard to please those around you.
But you have a great inner strength that helps you bounce back easily.
What's Your Rising Sign?
You Are Noon
You are upbeat, ambitious, and never at loss for energy.
You have a lot that drives you in life. The desire to be the best, and a secret hope of fame and power.
And while you definitely have a Type A personality, you are still fun to be around.
You have a ton of charisma and a genuine interest in others. You are adored by many.
What Time Of Day Are You?

I'd like to meet:

Hmmm. I'd like to meet scuba divers and other outdoorsy people. Also wanted: sane, stable, caring people who also happen to be drama-free. My life is pretty serene and stable these days and I would like to keep it that way.
You Are a Chimera
You are very outgoing and well connected to many people.
Incredibly devoted to your family and friends, you find purpose in nurturing others.
You are rarely alone, and you do best in the company of others.
You are incredibly expressive, and people are sometimes overwhelmed by your strong emotions. What Mythological Creature Are You?

Music:

Dance, pop, some country, some latin. No techno and very little rap.

Movies:

I'm a bit of a kid-at-heart, so Disney, Dreamworks and Pixar movies always rock. I also enjoy romantic comedies and movies that make you think, like Dead Again and Butterfly Effect.

Television:

Law and Order, CSI, the Medium, Sex and the City, and Cold Case files.
You Are Most Like Carrie!
You're quirky, flirty, and every guy's perfect first date.
But can the guy in question live up to your romantic ideal?
It's tough for you to find the right match - you're more than a little picky.
Never fear... You've got a great group of friends and a
great closet of clothes, no matter what!

Romantic prediction: You'll fall for someone this year...

Totally different from any guy you've dated. Which Sex and the City Vixen Are You?

Books:

Anything Johanna Lindsey, Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. I love reading, so there isn't much that I wouldn't devour.

Heroes:

My mom and friends. You have to admire people who will love you at both your best and worst moments.

Fun times.

First off, let me say that I am baffled by a telephone call I got last night from a guy. Something about waiting for me, putting our names on a list for a table and there would be a 15-minute wait. Um...

I loved her first....

Driving home tonight, there was a song on the radio that made my heart feel a little pang. It was because I heard this country song on the radio that was about a father giving away his daughter ...

Redemption

It has been an interesting week. I may be on the path of redemption at work. Who knows, though? One can never tell. It is such a politically charged atmosphere that things tend to change on a daily ba...

Falling Fast.....

Once, I was on an airplane that hit some severe turbulance. We bumped up 300 feet and fell 800 feet. I don't think I will ever forget that feeling, of falling, of trying to grab onto anything that was...

Las Vegas was incredible! Amy and I arrived around midnight on Friday, checked into our hotel and then went to Rio for drinks. We shared a cab with some British guy, who insisted on paying for it. Whe...

My honeymoon -- look out Vegas!

For the longest time I was hoarding my frequent flier miles, intending to use them on a honeymoon trip. But, life happening, canceling out any immediate wedding plans. So, I was sitting there with a f...

Remembering

It is hard to believe that five years have passed since 9-11-2001. I wonder about the families, the people who lost loved ones that day. I know how much covering the crash of Flight 93 affected me. I ...
