I have lived in Milwaukee,( Bayview, and bartended at the The Nomad ) Austin TX, ( Helped open up Ciola's Italian Restaurant ) New York City ( 86th and Broadway ) Brooklyn ( Park Slope ) and Chicago ( Three times. ) I harbor notions of owning/running a restaurant, a place, like a home, where there is good food, conversation, music, cooking, writing, figuring, and not one of those spots that wants four "stars", one of those that would like people to eat, sit, talk, and live. I want to cook the food my grandmother made, but different, I want to make it my own, to have my children running around,(eventually)just tasting, smelling, learning. I want to live upstairs of the restaurant or nearby, To go home and drink wine, talk, paint, record, and write after we close whenever that may be. To get to know everyone that comes in, what they think and love, listen to their stories, no matter how many times they tell them, no matter how many times they change. Light their cigarette and listen. Oh and wouldn't you just know that I love "family" in ever sort of the word. I have my "birth" family, but also my music family, my cooking family, and so on...and yes... maybe you saw it coming but...I am permanently, perpetually in love with just about everything. It hurts like hell sometimes.I sing. I love singing. If you ask me to sing, I'll say yes. I sing old songs I know and I love.and... I am so more than willing to talk about old jazz standards. ASK ME. I'm basically like an 80+ year old.I get uncomfortable when couples fight in public, I love taking pictures of myself, and of others when they don't know I'm taking them, I think my brothers are some of the funniest fellas that exist, I know I'll be a good Mother, I can't stand it when the mail doesn't come because of unimportant holidays( Columbus Day, Fuck off.)I adore the personality of wine. I don't like wearing the color purple. I am autodidactic. I am very protective. I am loyal. I am bad at badminton,I play lefty even though I am right handed, but I love it anyway. I love the way my name is spelled. I love music so much it hurts and that seems to be the first reason why I fear death so much. I like getting older. I love cooking, and hearing the good noises people make when they taste what you've made. I love facts and learning about the history of anything, and I just love it...Not like I don't cry or anything, I mean, C'mon, I'm no robot. Oh, yes....by the way...I hate robots.
