About Me

I have a variety of interests as I have stated, but my main concern is the safety of our great country.I am from NY but have since left. I lived near many who died on 9/11 and that day will never be forgotten. I was by the towers only about one week before 9/11.I am a proud Navy mom and a wife of a Marine. I am dedicated to our troops and our country. I am glad the immigration bill was ditched but still want to see our borders secured and laws enforced. I'd like to see America be what it should be, a country that I'm proud of, with good values and morals. A Nation under God. "My dream is of a place and a time where America will once again be seen as the last best hope of earth."-Abraham Lincoln.I support Operation Iraqi Freedom. My son's Carrier ship is the USS Enterprise. This was his 2nd deployment. His ship returned from a very sucessful mission on Dec. 19th. In brief, the crew traveled approximately 48,646 miles, flew more than 7,500 missions, dropped 73 air-to-ground weapons and fired 4,149 rounds of 20mm ammunition. I salute them all! Bless you and thank you!As told to the sailors on the USS Enterprise, "Take a Positive Look", "As difficult as it is to be away, we are here to protect the freedom that our families are accustomed to having. So take great pride in being in the Navy, being able to bring honor to our loved ones, stability to our households, and to defend our country. And remember all the amenities we have in life came from someone’s sacrifice."

Music:

Let's see, I grew up as a child in the 60's and to my mind was exposed to the greatest variety of music ever. We had Motown, the British Invasion, Folk, California Dreaming, and good old Rock and Roll, there were new American groups plus left overs from the great music of the last decade. But to name just a few is a hard task, but I'll give it a go; America, The Band, THE BEATLES, The Cars, Dire Straits, The Doors, Grand Funk, Led Zeplein, Neil Young, Marvin Gaye, Smokey Robinson, Tom Petty, Savage Garden, Sonny and Cher, yes, I liked them! and so much more. Of course I love the sounds of all decades, they all brought special something to the times. But to add to my list, which would not be complete with out the one and only, BOB DYLAN, HE COULD PUT IT ALL ON PAPER AND MAKE MUSIC OUT OF IT! I grew up with him and he was a big influence to kids like myself and so many others.**SAVAGE GARDEN**TO THE MOON AND BACK****JEEVES & WOOSTER - MINNIE THE MOOCHER**

George Washington, First Inaugural Address, April 30, 1789“The fanatics that run Iran, who exhort the tens of thousands to shout ‘Death to America’ … don’t distinguish between Republicans and Democrats … and we should have the common sense, let alone the sense of responsibility to our country, to come together to defend our nation against those who want to destroy us.” Senator Joe Lieberman-Senate Slumberfest 2007-WELL SAID, SEN.
