Hello! I am the Field Director for North and South Carolina for YOUTH FOR UNDERSTANDING. YFU is a private, non-profit, volunteer based educational youth exchange organization.YFU international exchange hosts students from over 50 countries that arrive in August every year. They experience American culture while living with an American host family and attend high school. Host families enjoy the cross-cultural experiences of learning something new everyday and gaining a global perspective. In turn, they help their international son or daughter immerse and learn about American culture.YFU also has several programs for American high school students who would like to explore the world by living and studying in a foreign country for a year, semester, or for the summer. Scholarships are available!
