About Me

This is the real Eric Close official MySpace page. I was born in Staten Island, New York, May 24th. My father is an orthopedic surgeon, and I'm the eldest of three brothers. MY family moved to Indiana, and then to Michigan and finally settled in San Diego when I was seven years old. I graduated with a B.A. in communications at the University of Southern California in 1989. I married Keri in 1995 and have two daughters, Katie and Ella. I'm a very reserved person who likes to keep my private life separate from my work. My first role was in a theater production "Rat Songs" in L.A. and was offered a part in the film "American Me" (1992) and "Safe House" directed by Elena Mannes. After doing those two films I returned to theater with "Thanksgiving Cries." I had many guest appearances on TV shows, and then started landing roles in shows such as "Dark Skies" (1996), "The Magnificent Seven" (1998), and "Now and Again" (1999). I currently star as FBI Agent Martin Fitzgerald in "Without a Trace" (2002) on CBS Thursday nights. ---Myspace Layouts

Books:

I enjoy reading historical books. My joy of reading lead me to becoming a partner in the First Book organization. The First Book Organization helps provide access to books to children from low-income families who have no books in their homes. And over 80 percent of childcare centers serving low-income children lack age-appropriate books and other print materials. You can help me and first book by visiting this site - www.theliteracysite.com - and clicking on "Fund Books For Kids"
