just can't seem to kick this one....

About Me

let's update this one... i still love my old honey, but we are just friends now. codependency a relationship does not make...can i ever get off the guitar playing junkies? only time will tell i suppose... i love my cat more than life itself, but mr. otto is having extended visitation with his father right now. just started working again after an unusually long unemployment session... i have a very different perspective right now which is a good thing...still rocking out allston, but might be time for a change. but just found a dream apt. which could make me stay... kind of like mars hall in it's own way ( minus the punks, kerosene and condemnation notice), but an artistic challenge nontheless...price is right, space is tight...love all of you friends of mine

My Interests

music, music, music...shows, shows, shows (i'm in that overly social and active post-breakup stage) old houses, vintage clothes, dressing like a female ramone, my cat, more books than you can shake a stick at, trying to see the forest through the media trees....

I'd like to meet:

you'll know who you are, but mostly, all of you i used to know

Music:

so many things...but i'm still a purist...you know kinks stones t. rex indie stuff, old jazz, cheesy 80's blah blah blah. one of my new things is that 70's light rock sound. there's some real hidden gems there......but let's give some credit where it's due...d.c. berman(that would be silver jews for all u amatuers), magnetic fields(the brilliant bitter one), love the spoon, rock the metal and classic heavy shit(you all know i've ALWAYS thought diamond dave was the slickest man that ever lived) i guess i could go on and on, but i'm too lazy to come up with clever colloquillisms for all of them...

Movies:

i'm a fan

Television:

i'm vehemently opposed to most of it, but i can filter. hello, flight of the concords? you have to be an elitist hipster to even get it, so it automatically appeals to the elitist hipster...and the songs...how 'bout vh1 classic? who gave that programming director a job? it's almost like you keep thinking it's a prank that you can watch all metal all day...when i was 14 i told my mother i'd still be watching that shit in 15 years...and she thought it was a phase.. great rockumentary shit-the pbs of music...dave chappelle even though he's off the air-a subtle cross cultural milestone...daily show( the real news) now for the guilty pleasure..rock of love (did u really think i wouldn't watch it) i know zac's got my back on that one....

Books:

kind of a geek in this department. lately knut hamsun, harry mulisch. always searching for progressed enlightenment and sometimes good entertainment. ....sci-fi classics, classic sap, the usual suspects(miller, beckett, lawrence, hunke, bukowski, burroughs, nabakov) should i bore you some more?? could there be a more narcissistic website??

Heroes:

ray davies& keith richards- sure i'll come up with some more, but i'm getting bored...
