Originally formed in June of 2001 as a basement metal band, Identity.crisiS (I.S) is now a rapidly evolving group. Based in the suburbs of Toronto, Ontario, the members has stuck through hard, dark, and painful times throughout the years. Most of their emotions have fueled the majority of their material.
Their style doesn't closely resemble any artist on the scene currently, as Peter and Lissa have always been proud of themselves with experimenting, and expanding in different sounds; playing a variety of styles including melodic songs of love, loss and betrayal, to dark gothic waltzes, with hard rock and comic interludes. Most people would say that I.S has a one–of–a-kind distinct, and versatile sound.
The band has played and recorded with one of Canada's top indie producers, owner of both Velvet Sound Studios, and the former Velvet Records, Mark McLay, who has taken the members of I.S under his wing as they lay down tracks, and play shows.
The pair has released a DVD of their very first gig in 2001, two live CDs, along with the rare unfinished demos that they started in 2004. Peter and Lissa have recorded countless songs, and even released their first album “Welcome To Breakdown†under their indie label RunnRat Records.
Currently, Lissa and Peter have been recording in their home studio. The band has been working on their latest project, their second full-length album titled “Plan B: The Morning Afterâ€.
