A grape doesn't know how to be a grape until it finds or see another grape.

About Me

Southern Mutt. Curmudgeon. I have outraged an entire congregation from the pulpit. I have ran people and have been run out of town. I've been so hungry, that I actually ate a horse. I have crossed men with vast amounts of money and paid dearly for it. I distrust anyone who is too proud of themselves for being themself. (Exceptions made for nakedness) I like combining alcohol and music. If I could sleep most of the daylight away, I would. I believe most great thoughts and good times take place when the sun is down.
PLEASE NOTE: THIS PROFILE IS MADE OF MY OPINION AND/OR FICTION. In other words, defamation lawsuits are a lost cause.

My Interests

Interested in anything that doesn't involve working. Anything leisure related. Booze. Women. Party. Swim. Sunsets that don't involve the fear of the next morning's light -Let's face it, no one would mind staying up until the sun comes up if they didn't have some dreadful responsibility. CURRENT GOALS: To be wealthy, married, or out of this country by the end 2008. Will settle for all three. And will consider it a success if I have become wealthy and squandered the money, have been to another country and back, or have been married and am once again divorced. The big deal is completion by the end 2008. And if I fail at them all, sue me. I'm giving myself some time.

I'd like to meet:

Roger Miller, but alas... And I guess most of you all over again.

Music:

Parisite Lotharios + Miss Ms Ruby = BENOCH. Then of bands I do not play in with no regard to particular order, I like The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Hank Williams, Misfits, Tom Waits, Uncle Tupelo, The Pogues, David Bowie, Beck, They Might Be Giants, Willie, GWAR, Alabama, Pavement, Liz Phair's first two albums, Slint, Townes Van Zandt, Powerbomb, Rodan, Visitor, Crooked Fingers, June of '44's first two albums, Wilco, Pixies, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Dylan, Great White, Billie McDuffee and the Knoxville 6, Leonard Cohen, Cash, The Band, Daniel Johnston, Magnetic Fields, Talking Heads/David Byrne, JSBX, GBV, Poison, Roger Miller, early Van Morrison, Ramones, did I mention Megadeth? I passionately HATE American 70's FM radio darlings and will gladly get up on the pulpit to help spread the gospel that if it wasn't nostalgia it wouldn't be. (i.e. Thin Lizzy, Foghat, Grand Funk Railroad, Eagles, etc. For his soul-less blues Eric Clapton is an honorary member even if he is british!) And locally, Big Nurse, P.P. and the P.P.P., Flock of Werewolves, Ghostfinger, On Command, Lone Official, Country Music, Some Awful Bridge, and Lojaque and the Flaming Nahdbits.

Movies:

Sergio Leone, Nora Ephron, and Kill the Dead Until They Die

Television:

I spend way too much time with this... I like Curb Your Enthusiam, The Simpsons, The Littlest Groom, The Daily Show, Mr. Show, Seinfeld, MST3K, The Boondocks, The Office (both but the British more) Futurama, Mama's Family, Arrested Development, and The Sopranos. Why the hell did they cancel that Littlest Groom show? Is there a shortage on little grooms? And while I will admit that is something I do often, I take no pride in my hours spent watching television.

Books:

Catch-22, Fierce Invalids Home from Hot Climates (most Tom Robbins), A Confederacy of Dunces, Revolutionary Road, Beatuiful Losers, Fight Club (and other books by Chuck), HST, Vonnegut, Twain, ABZ Book, and anything that wacky John Grisham shits out. F. Scott Fitz. That one shit head who wrote that book about how he was on all kinds of drugs that wasn't a very good novel so he claimed it was fact and conned Oprah Winfrey into endorsing it as a tale of terror for America's youth but it just turned out to be a poorly rewritten version of A Scanner Darkly and then he had to apologize on her show for making her and the nation of Oprah followers look like dummies.

Heroes:

Fidel Castro, Ben Franklin and Dr. Fujin but if you are short on heroes ...

An elephant once said, "I drink to forget."  I don't believe that's always true.  Sometimes I drink to remember.  The feeling will remind me of days long gone, or the days they're repla...
