In delay there lies no plenty

About Me

I'm married to the most beautiful woman in the world....and she happens to look great too! I love people and the mess in which we are all in. I love the fact that we're all individuals but we're all the same. I'm optimistic. I'm selfish! I hope more days than not I'm genuine and real. I love music.......it helped change my life.Music took me to Nashville where I graduated from MTSU in the winter of 2003. From there I landed a job with Salem Publishing (CCM Magazine) that enabled me to wear multiple hats in marketing, sales, promotions and even a spot as a contributing editor with my own monthly column. Needless to say my head got quite large. My pin name was DICK FARLEY. Hilarious now, but two years ago I thought it was kind of cool. Nashville will always be home away from home, but in the summer of 2005 Stephanie and I decided that family was more important than my selfish career in the music industry, and we moved back to the metropolitan city that is Paducah. The move required some significant dying, in terms of pride and self, but it was for the best.I loved my time in Nashville and wouldn't trade it for the world but it has made me the ultimate cynic. Seeing the music industry from the other side was both enlightening and disheartening at the same time. But for that I am thankful. Steph and I just bought a home.....and between that, traveling and being active at our church in the world (www.fourriverschurch.com), we stay very busy. Oh yea, and I'm the lead singer of a rock band called Special D (www.speciald.net). Traveling and playing music is usually how I spend my weekends. Its amazing how music can impact, inspire and change lives. I love music that speaks of hope. Hope is sometimes all we have. I live because of it!
