MyGen Profile GeneratorOnce upon a dark moonlit night Gen Mental, Liz TeeNT, and Frank N. Wyatt were bored out of their wits with nothing to do and no shows to go to (the scene being dead). They decided to form their own band and play their own form of chaos and tear the scene a new one...or create their own scene and tear THAT scene a new one. The band cemented with the addition of Bobby Cancer on guitar. After causing much ruckus and getting banned from many a practice spot, Liz TeeNT was killed in a freak rubber piggy accident. She was resurrected, but her bass playing wasn't quite the same again....but she will forever be an undead part of the band..and Dolly Dee soon took up the thump and the band marched on determined to unleash a fury upon the scene that no one has lived to tell about.Since then, Mental Hygiene has taken the scene by storm, appearing on a handful of international horrorpunk compilations as well as the release of their EP "We Are Your Modern Cure." They've shared the stage with such acts as Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, the Casualties, Anti-Flag, the Chop Tops, the Living End, and many more and have played festivals such as Psycho Weekend and the Warped Tour. The future for Mental Hygiene sees more of their brand of chaos with more shows and a possible full length release coming soon.
