About Me

FREELANCE DRUMMER WITH LEAD AND/OR HARMONY VOCALS. 20+ years club, session, studio, and road experience.---------------------------------------------Pers onal bio...Started playing drums at the age of 13, and with the exception of late 1990 until around 1993 ( what I call the "dark period" ), have been playing ever since. Although I did march playing Snare, and played Tympani and Snare in Concert/Symphonic Band during Jr. & Sr. High School, I consider myself to be more or less "self-taught". I basically learned to play by sitting behind a kit with some headphones, a turntable, a stack of vinyl, and and an unending desire to learn and improve by drawing inspiration from drummers like John Bonham, Neil Peart, Bobby Columby(BS&T), Bill Bruford, and all of the drummers who played with Zappa or Gabriel. I played in several local and road bands during the big hair 80's, and continued with several other rock, funk, and top 40 bands until around 2004 when I decided to try my luck as a freelance artist/mercenary drummer. And while I feel most comfortable in the Rock/Funk/Pop genre, I've managed to find a comfort zone in just about every style of music at some point over the years, which has allowed me (thankfully) to work with, and hopefully continue to work with many various styles of bands and musicians.
