A FREE and HANDS-ON FESTIVAL for the family. Saturday, June 23rd from 1pm-6pm at the Hominy Creek River Park in West Asheville for Summer Solstice.WE'RE HAVING INVERACTIVE CLASSES IN: yoga, belly dance, nia, plant walks and herb education, planting trees, murals, mosaics, working with clay, art with reusable materials, face painting, making a peace pole, disc golf, music, and much more.It's being called the "Stone Soup" gathering because, like the fable, everyone is contributing a little of we do in our community and, together we all enjoy abundance.The event is a partnership between LOCAL government, non-profits, businesses and community members all contributing our time, energy and creativity to set an example of what we can accomplish if we all collaborate on a common goal.TELL EVERYONE YOU KNOW, EVERYONE IS INVITED! Bring a picnic, a bowl, and a veggie for the Stone Soup!
