About Me

I am a southern cali transport here in DC... jury's still out on this one. But i know that God's plan is perfect and i am in this place at this time for a reason, so in the meantime, i will delight in the joy of the Lord and rely on Him for my strength. I also have every intention of enjoying the ride. I am a 22 year old graduate student studying Speech-Language Pathology at Gallaudet University. I coach cheer at a local high school and i love it. As you can imagine, i don't have much free time, but when it comes my way, i love to take full advantage of it. This, to me, means exploring the city, spending time with friends, keeping touch with my family and friends at home, sleeping, and meeting new people (this has proven to be quite a challenge here). Having mentioned my family, i must say that i have the most amazing parents in the world and an older brother who is my best friend and the three of them mean the world to me. I also have some of the most incredible friends ever and i love them immeasurably. They know my heart, they see my flaws, and they love me anyway. I love God, and i am trying to live my life according to His word. This is not always easy, but in my weakness, He is strong. My Interests

ASL. Grape soda. Intelligent conversation. Museums. Mid-afternoon naps. Bean and cheese burritos. Cuddling. Swimming. Dancing. (in a studio, or a bar, or in my bedroom in my underwear) Good wine. Sports. Doing things to make my family and friends happy. LIFE.

I'd like to meet:

Intellectuals. Not-so-intellectuals. Believers. Passionate people. People who love people. Conversationalists. Broken hearts. Lost souls. Friendly faces. Genuine people. Sinners. Saints. The man of my dreams (hey, i am a woman).

Music:

I listen, and thoroughly enjoy, almost anything and everything. I delight in the way music, with or without words, can say exactly what i am feeling. It can draw emotions out of us that we might otherwise choose to ignore. Music is a catalyst for love, friendship, faith, and a myriad of other relationships and emotions. It awakens the soul amd stimulates the mind. Yeah. I'd say im a fan.

Books:

The only love story written to inspire the soul and reach out to each individual heart by heart, the Bible. and so many many others. Im a regular bookworm.

Heroes:

The fam. Without their unending unconditional love and support, i would not be the person i am today.

some days...

some days i hate this place... it's quiet. not silent, but definitely quiet. it's cold. then it's hot. then it rains, but by lunch it's 90 outside. and it's raining again by dinner. i never know where...
