Music, Music, Playing/Writing music, spoken word, any kind of sports, theater, and classic and beatnik literature, seeing shows around the country
That one girl i saw at every dead show. She knows who she is.... i never saw her face or got within 1000yards of her, but I fell in love instantly with her... her small shadowy body dancing rythmically to and fro in one of the aisle tunnels, her long flowing dress tossing about above the beautiful display of purple and greens beams from the light show. It was as if she was plucked directly from one of the 60's Fillmore shows.
I spent over 2 years on the road following the Grateful Dead and Phish. So basically any kind of jamband I can listen to. I can listen to ANYTHING but hardcore country and western. I can only hear about so many dogs dying, trucks breaking, wives leaving, jobs quitting before I want to grow myself a mullet and call myself Billy Joe Jim Bob. It would take me days to list all the music I like, but let's just say it runs from early jazz (Monk, Coltrane, Miles) to classic rock (Jimi, Jim, and Janis) to more progressive (Cure, Femmes, The The, Butthole Surfers) to finally some more modern stuff. But if you check in any of my players, you will most likely find a Dead, Phish, or Marley live show in it. I have over 1000 live shows from GD to Phish to Marley to Les Claypool. Let's just say I like music.
Pulp Fiction, Resevoir Dogs, Apocolypse Now, Warriors, Animal House, Blues Brothers, Fast Times, any Cusack flick...etc... etc... etc
