About Me

Myspace Contact Tables
I'm your garden variety, sometimes abrasive Jersey Italian. I do have an accent but I will not say "water" for you. I'm not uptight about it....I just don't think "water" is a good word that accentuates the Jersey "aw" sound. There are better words out there, but I'm not going to help you make fun my awesomeness, so figure it out yer damn self. I enjoy taping Shark Week whenever it's on the Discovery Channel, starting new hobbies that I get tired of after two weeks, taking a good hike in the fall and drinking a cold beer in the summer. I hate winter, Ann Coulter and girls who give our gender a bad name. I watch entirely too much TV, but I've become an expert at timing a VCR so I can watch "my shows" later. I'm not ready to buy into the whole tivo-thing. Yes, I'm sure it's awesome. My b/f sings its praises and I'm pretty sure when I'm not there the tivo box sleeps on my side of the bed...but I'm just not a tivo kinda girl. When my worst nightmare actualizes and my 10 year old VCR breaks, maybe I'll consider it. But I am NOT looking forward to learning how to use a new remote. Music is more than a passion and I'll dance my ass off on any given opportunity...maybe even bust out some karaoke on a drunken occasion. I'm pretty simple, easily amused, opposed to drama, a firm believer in the power of karma and always striving to break the paradigm.

My Interests

I LOVE hiking & camping, enjoying the east coast's lush, temperate forest wonderland; festivals; kayaking; art; working out; watching sports; making off-color remarks; discgolf (but I'm worthless); telling dirty jokes; a good nap; singing in the shower; laughing at mullets; planning out my next Halloween costume; ramen noodles (oriental flavor); random road trips; making funny videos; watching my goldfish; drinking out of the carton; being omnipotent; interesting new cleaning products stickin it to the man and hangin' with the homies.

Dreams do come true!

~~"Truth cannot be defined, although it can certainly be experienced. But experience is not a definition. A definition is made by the mind, experience comes through participating. If somebody asks, "What is a dance" how can you define it? But you can dance and you can know the inner feel of it. God is the ultimate dance. " - Osho~~

Music:

jambands, funk, rock, jazz, reggae and anything that doesn't talk about busting a cap in an N-word's ass every verse. SCI, Led Zep, The Dead, Phish, P-Funk, Pink Floyd, Umphrey's McGee (!!), Stevie Wonder, Thelonius Monk, Tenacious D, Give Us The Money Lebowski, U-Melt, Kiss, Talking Heads, Bob Marley, Matisyahu, Breadbox Band, Unexplained Bacon, Scarecrow Collection, Coltrane, mofro, Miles Davis, Ween, Antibalas, anything Claypool (he's the MAN), Springsteen, Bon Jovi (while we're giving props to NJ boys), Neil Diamond (that's right) and MANY many more. My 4 favorite albums ever created are: Led Zeppelin's Physical Graffiti, Bill Withers Live at Carnegie Hall, Santana's Abraxas and Cat Stevens' Tea for the Tillerman. Each one just gets the job done like nothing else. Definitely gotta' mention Flaming Lips' 'Zaireeka' - one of the most unique concepts I've ever seen.

Movies:

The Big Lebowski, Office Space, Old School, Anchorman, Dumb & Dumber, Animal House, Outside Providence, Harold the Duck, Labyrinth, Harold & Kumar Go To White Castle, The Dark Crystal, Big Trouble in Little China, Meet the Parents, The Godfather series, The Matrix, literally every cheesy horror movie ever made (especially those by Rob Zombie), Tim Burton movies, classic Disney & most of the Pixar movies, John Waters movies, Last Temptation of Christ, Dodgeball, Cabin Boy, Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas, Where The Buffalo Roam, Lord of the Rings, Army of Darkness/Evil Dead, The Monty Pythons and anything with Leslie Nielsen (genius).

Television:

Lost, 30 Rock, The Office, 24, Nip/Tuck, The Riches, Simpsons, the reject auditions of all of those "judge shows," Family Guy, The Sarah Silverman Program, American Dad, Scrubs, My Name is Earl, Flava of Love, South Park, old SNL, Deadliest Catch, Flying Circus, The Daily Show, Colbert Report, Animal Planet, The Discovery Channel, old reruns of The Three Stooges....I watch too much TV. I don't know if 'A Baby Story' is on TV anymore, but I found that repulsive. Like why would you want to televise the labor process?! Gross.

Books:

Anything Vonnegut, Tom Robbins & Hunter S. Thompson, Ratso Sloman, Saul Williams, Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy (and The Salmon of Doubt), Catch 22, The Fuck Up, Bonfire of the Vanities, Walden, Bill Bryson, 1984, Zen & the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Greg Palast, Shel Silverstein

My Blog

a fond memory

My buddy, Neal, and I used to go on cruises along the backroads of Kutztown, PA after class. One day in the middle of winter, he and I were riding along, and in the distance, there was a row of trees...
