Giggedy, Giggedy!!!

About Me

Intelligent, Busy, Loud, Abrasive, Vulgar, Libertarian, Politically Incorrect, Intolerant of Stupidity... the list goes on and on.
I'm just a geek with a kick ass life. I don't adhere to rules and regulations. It isn't uncommon to find me in a serious discussion involving physics, politics, religion, music or food. You will find me in the middle of chaos, normally controlling it. If your life is normal, I probably don't understand you.

This summer has had me on a Prevost traversing the countryside and seeing the country one concert venue at a time. Starting with the Paid Dues Festival and Rock The Bells and moving on to "A Wonder Summer's Night" with Stevie Wonder, I've been from coast to coast twice since July. Now it's time to stay home and get ready to be a daddy. Whatever I do, there is never a dull moment.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

I meet new people every day. Some I'm very glad to have met and consider them a welcome addition of light to my life, others are a nuisance or annoyance and take the light out of life. Where you, the next new person, gets categorized is entirely dependent upon you.

Movies:

Yes, I like them. Who doesn't?

Television:

I'm watching less and less T.V. these days. You should try it, you'll discover life away from the couch.

Books:

I just finished the last in the Harry Potter series. I'm satisfied, if not a little sad. I suppose I should go to the bookstore and find something else.

My Blog

The End is Near

In my world away from home time has little meaning when I'm not working.  I have lost all sense of day, night, weekday or weekend.  Every day is divided into three categories:  Show Day...

L.A. - Land of the Surreal

I went to Universal Studios to see what I could see.  While I was amazed at the ability of the Hollywood tricksters to manipulate our minds on film, I was dumbfounded by the completely false worl...

San Francisco

I've never had the opportunity to explore San Francisco before so I took advantage of an off day, bought a day pass for the CalTrain and headed into the city with Roadie Nate.  The walk from the ...

Boring gig banter

This tour has an interesting, annoying and persistent problem.  The ever changing AC scheme.  Some venues have clean ample AC designed for a show, some have nothing more than a generator, so...

Hospitality and a Peacock

Every morning roadies across the world say the same thing.  "Where's catering?"  Someone much higher on the food-chain than I am has taken the time to create a rider that satisfies the needs...

True Stories from the Land of Prevost

Let me tell a story. Once upon a time there was a band.  This band was one of the most talented bands the world had ever heard.  They were the backbone and accompaniment of one of the most ...

Update and Day Off

Hello. I am in fact alive and well.  Right now I'm in my cozy room in Santa Barbara, CA looking at the mountains and contemplating how to convince Mrs. E-Rock that we should move here.  Any...

Rock... E-Rock

This is the coolest hotel I have ever stayed in as a Roadie (and one of the best I've stayed in, period).  The U.S. Grant Hotel in San Diego is Las Vegas Opulent but Park Avenue tasteful.  T...

Another Chapter in the Saga of E-Rock and the TSA

You all can sleep soundly tonight. The government has successfully thwarted another attempt of a wandering sound guy trying to get onto an airplane without incident. Thus demonstrating that the good, ...
