Kappa Kappa What?

I pee'd on a candle until the candle went out! Fucken little candle. Now I'm in the dark.

About Me

Born and raised in the midst of a whole lotta cows and corn, I come from a small town in upstate New York. I moved out to California in 93'. I have a BA in Photography, but I rarely have time to use my camera. My family still lives in NY and to this day, tries to get me to move back to the East Coast. I love my family to death and wish I could have them closer to me....but I'm not ready to go anywhere.I am an Artist Manager/Talent Developer and work for Aspen Davis Management. I love what I do. Sometimes it can be a pain in the ass, but 99% of the time, I find it rewarding. Had some of my best times managing a band named Mudbath out of Orange County, CA. I dig checking out new acts and can talk about the ins and outs of the music business for hours.I'm a self-admitted "control freak"... don't worry...I'm aware of the problem...and it is under control. Brutal honesty comes with the package. If you don't want to hear the truth, you need not ask me any questions. Life is too short to not put your cards on the table. I appreciate those who give me the same courtesy.Utilizing a dry New Yorker sarcasm, I love to sit a people watch. Of course the comments that shoot from my mouth are not for the faint of heart. I know...I know...I'm sitting in seat 12B on my flight straight to Hell.I am rarely in a bad mood...I love getting out and seeing new things and my glass is always half full! Any questions..shoot me a message?

My Interests

Music, reading, photography and art. I'm an ipod whore!! My 2nd addiction is Starbucks! I like watching sports. I'm a Yankees fan...hate me...love me...whatever!

I'm going to get some hate mail for that photo! I must admit though, I'm guilty of not watching the regular season and just watching the playoff/championship games at the end. I like daisies...mostly because my Mom likes daisies and they remind me of how happy she got when I use to pick them for her. Deep down, I'm a country girl in a city girl's body, so it would be a sin if I didn't like the outdoors (camping, walking, biking, skiing, snowmobiling, 4-wheeling, building a fire with sticks etc.). I get excited for a good road trip or going on tour. There's a lot out there that everyone should experience at least once in their lifetime.

I'd like to meet:

Others in the Music Business, new talent, people with an interest etc. I like talking to people who are passionate about whatever they do in life. I want to meet people who care about others and have a goal. I respect people who work hard for what they have and appreciate the people around them. Giving by nature, I believe that selfish people suck and should all go away! I dig people who are confident, not egotistic. There's a fine line there.....some have it and some don't.

Music:

Virtually anything. I love listening to new stuff. I think that the local scene is under-rated and should receive more attention. There's a lot of great stuff out there! Currently, my ipod favorites are: Joss Stone * Milka * Blue October * Morningwood * The Smiths * The Housemartins * Arcade Fire * Yeah Yeah Yeahs * They Might Be Giants * The Dead 60's * AFI * Louis XIV * Green Day * Weezer * Pink * Black Eyed Peas * Arctic Monkeys * Nine Black Alps * Bloc Party * Dixie Chicks * Johnny Cash * My Chemical Romance * Porcelain * Wolfmother * OK GO * Johnny Lang * Amy Winehouse * Lilly Allen * Muse * Scissor Sisters * MGMT * Kings of Leon * Spoon * The Dandy Warhols*

Movies:

If it's funny, sad or scary...I love it! If it has a crappy storyline...I hate it! Some of my favorites include: Million Dollar Baby (I think that Clint Eastwood is brilliant and he's got hot offspring!), Eulogy, Crash, Old School, Little Miss Sunshine, etc.

Television:

Normally, it is on in the background while I'm on my computer. However, I do think that TIVO is a brilliant idea given to us from the TV Gods themselves! Love...love...love Grey's Anatomy and Brothers and Sisters. Other than that, the music channels get a lot of attention.

Books:

"Confessions of a Record Producer" by Moses Avalon, "What They'll Never Tell You About the Music Business" by Peter M. Thall and "The Ultimate Survival Guide to the New Music Industry - Handbook for Hell" by Justin Goldgerg

Heroes:

Go Kymmie Go!

Professionally: Don Passman and Irving Azoff. Personally: Family and anyone that gives more than they receive.
