About Me

It's about time I changed this up.All I ever want to talk about is teaching English and the political crisis in Burma. This is probably because I teach English to a refugee from Burma...But in the words of Julia Pulawski, it's not about me.

My Interests

Live music, world religions, movies, poetry, politics, parties, cultures, dignity, Latin American revolutions, journalism, equality, friends, food, reading, writing, exercising, good jokes, dreams.

I'd like to meet:

People who would rather change the world than their default pictures.

Anything good.

Movies:

The Motorcycle Diaries, Big Fish, The Life Aquatic, The Darjeeling Limited, Knocked Up, Superbad, Mean Girls, Zoolander, 10 Things I Hate About You, Amelie, Pulp Fiction, Napoleon Dynamite, City of God, Snakes on a Plane...it's a growing and extensive list, and Spiderman 2 made me cry.

Television:

Law & Order with my roomie.

Books:

The Middle of Everywhere, All Quiet on the Western Front, The Things They Carried, Running with Scissors, No god but God, The World According to Garp, The Secret Life of Bees, Catcher in the Rye, A Farewell to Arms, Slaughter-house Five, Fahrenheit 451, A Passage to India...I also like to read biographies/autobiographies and books about religion and politics. Not gonna lie, though, I don't typically finish them.
