Rafique Ramli was born with music running through his veins. His collection of CD’s has actually convinced him to start being involved in the music circuit. Fondly called as R-Que to his friends, in the year of 2004, he enrolled himself into Playaz Universe Dj School with the guidance of DJ Raja at the age of 20. After 3 months absorbing the art of turntablism, he then enrolled to another DJ school at Mixology DJ Academy owned by the 5 times Malaysia Pioneer Digital Battle champion, DJ Fuzz. And there he learned the twisted ride of juggling and scratching.Within a year, he purchased his first set of decks. And this is when it all started to shine. His love for music grew and it was there and then when he realized he was destined to make music his career.After he had graduated at Mixology DJ Academy, he participated in a few DJ competitions, such as DJ Quest, Fort Minor DJ Competition and Malaysia DJ battle 2007. For more challenges, he then participated in Malaysia’s biggest talent show; Blast off season 3 with his group ‘College Dropout’.Internationally, DJ R-Que inspires the creativity of DJ Yassa from Japan, and the attitude and skills of DJ I-Merge from the U.S. But nothing beats the screaming scratches and the awesome juggles of DJ Fuzz who he claimed to be his muse since he 1st started the DJ scene.DJ R-Que is one of the most versatile, reliable, competent and a dedicated DJ currently on the bar and club circuit. He has a unique and professional approach to his work and is able to play and mix heart thumping sounds of RnB, Hip Hop, Reggaeton and Dancehall.With endless hours of practice, DJ R-Que ventured into club hopping for more experience and exposure, spinning in clubs such as Absolute, Nu Skool, Wharf, Sugar club and currently DV8 KL. Breaking the crowd record with his magic night ‘Shorty Gonna Shine’, every Saturday at Sugar Club Kuala Lumpur, DJ R-Que proves it possible to pursue his dreams after all the hard work when he plays back to back weekend with his idol DJ Fuzz who spins on Fridays. DJ R-Que excels in providing the best sounds and proves to be an excellent personality DJ with repeat bookings by many of his followers in Sugar Club. Also, currently DJ R-que is spinning every Friday night at DV8 KL in conjunction with Top Notch Party together with DJ Fuzz.Not lacking his talent, DJ R-Que scratches for local artist, Reshmonu when he is not in the console heating up club crowds. DJ R-Que has performed with Reshmonu in various performances such as IKON MALAYSIA, SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE, HITZ.FM’s BIRTHDAY BASH and many more.
On the side of Sasi The Don, DJ R-Que scratches for his performances in the TOP 10 MALAYSIA MUSIC AWARD and also on the debut of his 1st album Launching. Apart from that, DJ R-Que scratched in the ‘Levis Party’ at Zouk KL alongside with the rest of the Mixology students.Besides that, DJ R-Que is a substitute teacher at Mixology DJ Academy helping out the new batch of upcoming DJ talent. Busy as it looks, but DJ R-Que is also still in college doing Mass Communication which has helped him more in building up confidence in his career. Not to mention his involvements in organizing events for his college, KDU.Embarking on new challenges as a DJ and a student, DJ R-Que now concentrates more on the clubbing circuit and creating his own awareness in creating recognition in the country bringing his music to an all new dimension and spreading his infectious tunes around the globe.
