Your Linguistic Profile:

85% General American English
10% Dixie
5% Yankee
0% Midwestern
0% Upper Midwestern What Kind of American English Do You Speak?I think this is hilarious, considering I am from the Midwest! Guess I have been in TX too long, huh? :)About me, hmmmmm Well, I grew up in a really small town (I dont mean 5000 people I am talking 300). So everyone knew my business and I knew theirs. That was ok sometimes but most of the time is was annoying!I went to college in Missouri (not too far from home). I left for Texas five days after graduating. So I guess the saying is true.I am not from Texas but I got here as fast as I could! JI lived in the DFW area from 1991 until 2000 when I moved to Austin. After living here, I do not know what in the world I was thinking not coming here sooner! I LOVE Austin. If you have never been for a visit I suggest you mark a date on your calendar and come on down! You will not want to leave.I have three older siblings two brothers and a sister. They are all married and have children (see my pics to see the nieces and nephewsand my parents for that matter)! One brother lives in IA about a mile and a half away from the parents. The other brother lives in IL and my sister lives in TX (Aubrey to be exact). My best friend from college and her hubby live right across the street from me here. What are the odds, huh? I love having them so close. She is really more like a sister to me than a best friend. She has two amazing little boys that I cannot see often enough. They just light up a room!Of course then there are my own children Yes, I know they have four legs and fur but I still consider them my kids. Bishop and Leo are the lights of my life. They are always happy to see me! I dont think I could ask for more. They love everyone and everyone loves them. Just the way it should be.

You Are Austin
A little bit country, a little bit rock and roll.
You're totally weird and very proud of it.
Artistic and freaky, you still seem to fit in... in your own strange way.

I'd like to meet:

I would love to meet Walt Disney- but obviously that is not going to happen. Damn the bad luck! I would love to have Matthew Perry, Zach Braff, Vince Vaughn, the Wilson brothers, Jason Lee, and George Clooney over for dinner - I think they would make me laugh until I cried. I think I would invite Emeril to that dinner as well - that way he can do all the cooking! On a more personal note – who I would like to meet…… I love making new friends…you can never have too many! Of course I would love to find “the one”. I don’t know if it will happen on here or somewhere else, but I know he is out there. I am not looking for any specific “type” of guy. I figure I will just know once I meet him. My first requirement is that he would have to be able to make me laugh. I am a huge fan of laughter – though sometimes I might laugh at the wrong time. Uh-oh! I never mean any harm – it is just that I cannot help it! I love doing sweet things for my significant other (I also like to do a lot of stuff for my friends). Cards, little gifts, baking things (did I mention I love to cook/bake) – for no reason at all. I don’t think you should have to have a reason to do something nice for someone. My second requirement is NO games – unless we are talking about a board game! HA At my age games are a useless tactic. I can understand the whole need (gotta make them work it) for it in your early twenties – but after that – what is the point! My friends have become fairly protective of me. They are always asking me whom I am interested in or have been seeing. They always give me their honest opinion (even if it hurts sometimes) when it comes to someone I am seeing. I made the mistake once of not listening to my friends and family – and – I will not do it again! They were VERY right and I was SO wrong! I have a tendency now to watch for the “red flags” early on. Yeah me! LOLIf there is anything you want to know – feel free to ask. I am not saying I am an open book and will answer anything – but I will give it my best shot!

Music:

I do not know where to start here.....I do not like country - but I am ok with almost everything else.

Movies:

Anything Disney (of course) and pretty much an type of disaster film. A good comedy is always right up there on my list as well. The last movie I saw that really had an impact on me was Million Dollar Baby - WOW. Update - I just saw Mr. & Mrs. Smith. I did not really have any expectations - but it was really good. Much funnier than I thought it was going to be! 7/25/05 - Saw "Wedding Crashers" Saturday night. OMG - laugh out loud funny. I laughed so hard I cried. I think I need to see it again so I can see the parts I missed while I was laughing!!!! 9/3/05 - Saw "The Constant Gardener" - it was a good film. It was not what I thought it was going to be.....much deeper and more intense. Makes you wonder if that kind of thing is actually happening in the world! (I hope not). Brokeback Mountain = fantastic movie. Who knew two guys could be so hot together! ;)

Television:

I watch way too much television! Some of my favorite shows are any of the CSI's, Law and Order SVU & Criminal Intent, Six Feet Under, Scrubs, House, Lost, Bones, Supernatural, My Name is Earl, The Office, Grey's Anatomy, Big Love and Intervention! I enjoy anything on TLC, Discovery , Discovery Health, The History Channel, or A&E. I also watch a lot of CourtTv and CNN Headline News.

Heroes:

Everyone in the military who is fighting for our freedom! I would also have to say my parents - they have dealt with a lot.
