Opozicia [melodic hardcore Kiev, Ukraine]
Opozicia (eng. "Opposition") band appeared in the beginning of 2001 in Kiev. That time we were playing rap-hardcore and were playing on local stages. As saying “We were famous among narrow audience”. At that time we weren’t the ones who played Christian core. That time gone and the only memory left since that-demo record “Choose of Life” (2002), and couple home videos. Later we had arguments, so we temporary stopped to play. Lis made his own band “Factor 150” (later joined by Ujeen and Eugene) .Michael played in “Holy Blood” on rhythm guitar. It lasted for two years but after several links with guys we decided to reunite Opozicia. From January,2004 we are having constant rehearsal. We had a concert at first time on Easter, sharing one stage with Drozdy band when they were doing a presentation of their album “Blind War”. In November on Moon Records we releasing our debut album called “Against System”. In addition, on production studio “Jmack records” two clips “Streets of City” and “No more time” are made. We are starting to play in different cities of country. Also our band are always invited to big extreme musical fests (Total Armageddon,Most). Wide audience liked our first album, despite their main musical preferences. In spring we invited Ujeen to play on bass guitar (ex-vocal of “Factor 150”), and Michael started to play on rhythm guitar. Instead of former drummer we have a guy from „Holy Blood”, Dima Tytarenko. So we’re playing melodic hardcore with this team. We hope that our next album “One From A Thousand” will help you to find a right way.
