Gardening, canning, cooking, wine making, Monroe County Fair, embroidery, any sort of domestic art seems to interest me now that I live in such a country atmosphere. I love to learn about anything so I take classes occassionaly at the community college here and I have so much fun. After I got divorced I took a class in Marriage and Family, learned a lot, might have served me a bit better before I got married but well, live and learn right. I love to go to events in Detroit, thank god I have my sister JoJo and her husband Matt there to get me out once and a while. I really enjoy working on fashion and art shows with them, being downtown for anything really, concerts, festivals whatever.I like to be outside, camping, minor league hiking, I've been fortunate to be a guest at Finn Camp, laying in the hammock, sitting by the lake, is there anything better? It's like being at our cottage upnorth without the 4 hour drive. honestly I could find myself interested in just about anything at any given time. As long as it's fun and nobody is getting hurt, I'm game.

My worst nightmare is having to choose between Johnny Depp and Dave Matthews. I mean, seriously, what would you do?Really, I just love meeting people. I find everyone interesting. Myspace is just a way for me to stay connected with friends and family and reconnect with friends from the past. If I happen to make some new friends along the way, great."Each friend represents a world in us, a world possibly not born until they arrive, and it is only by this meeting that a new world is born. "A room without books is like a body without a soul." -Cicero I collect books and do have them in every room of my home. I think I'm close to 1000 by now. Everything from Anne Rice 1st editions, ("Memnoch the Devil" is so worth the read, especially if you have a Christian background) to childrens books by Charlotte Zolotow, "The White Marble" is my favorite. The Story of O, 9 1/2 weeks and Anne Rice's Sleeping Beauty trilogy are great when you need a little porn. Elizabeth Berg writes beautiful novels. I carry a totebag of field guides whenever I travel. My collection is mostly nonfiction. My favorite book right now is "The Book of Useless Information" it's put out by the Society for Useless Information. I like books that are arranged to be read in bits as my time rarely allows for a long read these days.
My parents, they've set the bar pretty high. They just totally rock. They are funny, generous, loving, accepting, forgiving and compassionate and totally in love with each other. My gorgeous sister JoJo for being a better me than I ever could have been, for never settling for less than she deserves and for being my teacher now using everything I taught her. She's freakin' awesome.
