For as long as I can remember, everybodys been trying to fuse Latin Jazz with American shit. The only one thats come even close is Santana uh! and Michael McDonald (Just kidding dammit!) but when you have Rob Thomas trying to say muñequita all phuked up that shit dont work too good.
We put this piquete together to show everybody that you can RockaJazz in style. Although we sound a little different than mainstream rock this is nothing new we been doing this shit back home for a long azz time. El piquete is made up of Evelio Perez, guitar/vocals (from Cuba), Abraham Juarez , drums/percussion (from Mexico), Chris Perez, Bass (From Houston, Texas), Patrick Anderson (From Oakland, CA).
Evelio Perez Graduated from a prestigious music conservatory in 1994. Achieving a great level of excellence both in his guitar playing and his singing, Chris Graduated from the Los Angeles Music Academy, Patrick is a classically trained percussionist, former drum-corp member and amazing conga player who also trained within the vocal styles of Adult Contemporary, Jazz, R & B, Pop, Gospel, Southern Soul and six part harmony and Abraham is presently doing a music post-grade ed in the Los Angeles Music Academy. We all also studied with badd azz teachers besides the school shit but if yall wanna know who, you gonna have to go to our website because I aint typing all that shit in here fo sho. We just finished cutting our first album Faking my death in Conway Studios in LA (cool place by the way nobody phuks wit u and shit) and we are heading next to our first international tour we gonna hit Mexico, Canada and then Europe. Our CD is gonna be available for sale in stores soon.
