The purpose of this site is to reunite and keep connected all Frost Valley campers, counselors and alumni.
THIS PAGE IS NOT AN OFFICIAL FROST VALLEY PAGE. I (the creator) am a Frost Valley alumn, who is on the alumni committee, but this page was created purely out of love for the camp and is not meant to serve in any official capacity.
Frost Valley's history dates back more than 100 years. Its roots are traced to a camp at Lake Wawayanda, Sussex County, NJ, which eventually moved to Andover, NJ. In 1956, a Christmas Eve deal secured the YMCA purchase of the German-born textile industrialist, Julius Forstmanns 2,200-acre estate in the Catskill Mountains of New York, and the Frost Valley Association was formed to run the Frost Valley Camp and Conference Center. In 1968, Frost Valley was incorporated into an independent YMCA. Today, Frost Valley YMCA is a 6,000 acre residential camping, environmental education, and conference center.
